Sorry mate but IW have always based their SP campaigns after movies and TV series ( Enemy at the Gates and Band of Brothers)...in CoD 1 the first mission is totaly the same as a scene in EaG (*cough* the scene where Zaitsev saw a bloodbath on the other side of the river)
Hmmm, must've mistaken the Cod then, I meant that mission :pimp: .

Quote

and even the 2nd mission is the same part where Zaitsev hid himself in a fountain
I prolly have some kind of cut edition 'cause I don't think I have that scene :s .

Hmmm........

Wanted

This is a movie that attempts to be something brilliant, and sadly, fails more often than it succeeds. Morgan Freeman plays the leader of an elite organisation (the Fraternity of Assassins), with the same old tired acting that has seemingly become 'neccessary' in one of his roles - the sophisticated, smart character with just a tiny bit of edge. Angelina Jolie plays the elite assassin that works directly under Freeman, and has all manner of inhuman skills, such as the ability to curve bullets and slow down time. All of the main characters have these abilities, slowing time, increased speed and power, as well as the film's main selling points, the curving bullets. Sadly, everyone of these is explained by the fact the main characters can speed up their heart rate to 400beats per minute and hence increase adrenaline to their body..... not the best of reasoning. Aside from that, all of the action sequences and backstabbing/betrayal that occurs afterwards has been seen in other movies, such as shooting another bullet out of the air..... yeah right. James McAvoy is the only good character in the movie, and portrays his pathetic existence admirably, and the transformation to a highly talented trained killer. While the movie borrows from countless other movies, the action sequences are for the most part good, involving one of the best run and shoot scenes I have yet to see in cinema - however they are let down by far worse one such as a shoot out in the local minimart that is pretty slow and tiresome. Overall, certainly some good high points in the movie, but just as many poor ones.

6.5/10

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

6.5/10

Was entertaining in parts, dull in others and downright unbelievable in some parts. The Mayans worshipped an alien? Come on...

Godzilla: Final Wars
9/10

Has virtually everything you could want out of a Godzilla movie. Also a hilarious touch to have Godzilla kill off 'Zilla' from the American movie from a few years back. It only gets 9/10 because I thought Godzilla vs Destroyah was better :whaa:

"Kulam"- a filipino horror movie! rated 10/10, because it's too darn scary (for a 12 year old of course, even though it's PG I was still got inside the cinema without parents)!

Apocalypse Now - 8,5/10

Really puts the finger on the Vietnam War. Very sharp, and one of the very rare movies that (shortly) involves the French view from the war as well. Very much worth the effort if you like any kind of war movie.

Leaving Las Vegas, Directed by Mike Figgis

Wow, a VERY powerful romantic movie about a relationship between a drunk (Nicholas Cage) intent on drinking himself to death and a Las Vegas prostitute (Elisabeth Shue). This is easily the best acting I've seen Nicholas Cage do (he won an academy award for it), and though it was unknown for a while after it was released, it's easy to see why this movie became popular. The soundtrack is simply brilliant as well. Go watch it right now.

9/10.

Saving Private Ryan - 9,5/10

I hadn't actually watched this before. In two words; fucking fantastic. If I have to come up with some criticism it's that a few minutes are really over-the-top patriotic and dramatic but that's a bit of nitpicking, really.

Hunt for Red October - 7,5/10

Surprisingly comfortable in his role as a Russian nuke sub commander, Sean Connery puts on a good show. The movie is well executed, has a good and interesting plot, but is quite slow-paced and there's not too much actually happening in the movie.

EDIT; yeah, Connery is a nuke sub >.>

Matrix Revolutions: 7/10

Not a bad movie....first 10-15 minutes are good then comes the boring part of 40 mins and finally action commences. You'd expect a better ending of the trylogy when u look at the first 2 parts

Oh come on - at least 8.5/10. It's my favourite movie ever with the exception of Star Wars Episode III. Not to mention Alec Baldwin is fantastic, James Earl Jones is in it and it's about the Cold War. And the musical score is just awesome, even if the CD release doesn't really do it justice.

^What JB said.

Haven't seen many movies lately;

W.-8.5/10-Great President, or Greatest President? I love the scene in the cabinet room where Dick Cheney says "Empire".

Bad Santa-7.5/10-A B-movie that isn't actually all that bad.

Music is definitely awesome, an impressive Russian score. But too few things happening are spread over too long a period IMO, and the movie is quite predictable. It's just a personal taste; I can see why others would like it more.

Pretty well a remake of the movie before it, which is a bit disappointing... General underlines of NUKES ARE BAD, just like the movie before it as well.
