Marvel comics/movies are always based on so called "stretched realism". Just think of a bubble gum. You can chew on it which leaves the bubble gum just what it is (=realism) or make a bubble out of it, by stretching (=stretched realism), but when the bubble bursts, the fun is over and you'd better get back to reality. For me, Daredevil bursts the bubble one or two times, an acceptable but still staining amount.

Personally, I think if you have watched some or all other latest Marvel Movies like "Spiderman" and/or "Ironman"and liked them, it's worth a watch.

Aren't Marvel redoing Daredevil? Getting rid of Ben Affleck?

Might be true. Marvel sold all licences of their characters to other companys, 'cause they run short on money. Ironman was one of the first licence, they bought back.

Actually a pretty damn solid action/adventure movie, and probably the only comic book remake Disney ever made. Shame it was a box office bomb, I'd love to see a sequel. It was sort of like Indiana Jones but not.

Any movie with the FBI, a guy with a Rocket pack, the mob, Nazis and a Zeppelin is a winner in my book.

The Boondock Saints - 8/10

An action movie about vigilante Christian hitmen who fight crime the hard way, this one is pretty damn good. Good action, not a bad plot and not without humour every now and then, it makes an overall very entertaining watch. Recommended for just about everyone except people that dislike action movies. Apparently there is also a second installment in the making, and I will very definitely give that one a watch too.

Meet the Spartans - 4.5/10

Meet the Spartans is a parody film. Primarily 300, as well as many other films, tv series and events. The 'movie' series has slowly been going down hill, using things that I would put in the "fart jokes" category, relying more on the name of the film than anything. Considering this film doesn't take the "Movie" title, I thought that this film might actually have to be funny. I was mistaken. Maybe I am being a tad harsh, there are some funny scenes and gags in this film, but they are greatly outweighed by the unfunny things. Some places I was actually burying my face into my hands in embarrassment.

Godzilla vs. DESOTROYAAH!!! - 9/10

One of the best of all the Godzilla movies. Certainly beats that sad Yankee remake...but then again, which of the real Godzilla movies doesn't?

Definately! This was the first Godzilla movie I ever watched.

Godzilla vs King Ghidorah only slightly beats it though, IMO.

Superhero Movie - 7.5/10

Superhero Movie is a parody film of the Superhero genre, mainly focusing on the plot from Spiderman 1. I had very low hopes about this film, I only started watching it because there was nothing else on, but this soon changed, I continued watching it because it was actually funny for once. The plot, while having many reference points to Spiderman, was changed enough so that it was enjoyable to watch, along with the humour sprinkled throughout. Some gags were reused from other films such as the Airplane! and The Naked Gun series', but I don't necessarily see this as a bad thing, they still give you a good laugh. Unfortunately there were still a few things that made you question why you were watching this film, but overall, a massive improvement over previous movies.

While the movie has Abrams written all over it, it has a decent plot and fits nicely into the Star Trek cannon. They really left out alot of plot of the trailers and gives the movie no justice. It starts off fast and keeps going fast and you will definitely get a chuckle out of the dialogue in the movie if you have watched the original series and the original series movies. The visual effects are second to none and really do star trek justice.

Must see.

American guy meets a german chick over the internet but the guy thinks that the chick is a guy (because of her german name) and decides to block her. after finding out that it was a hot chick he realised: omg,what have i done! and he decides to go to Europe to see her. lot's of stuff happen in between that makes the movie good. for example: in london he walks straight into a manchester pub haha and has to sing the manchester song or else he would be beaten up.

Star Trek 10/10.

McCoy, Chekov and Scotty was really well done, while the appearance of "Spock Prime" made me almost LOL.

The visual effects are just awesome, and plotline is well written too.

The only thing that I thought was a little weird (Or wierd )was the shuttlebay: I personally don't think a shuttlebay had ever been large enough to carry 30+ shuttles, but that's just me.

Must see.

Star Trek 9/10 Very well done movie by JJ Abrams. The special effects were all awesome and all the characters delivered great performances with perhaps Sulu's being weakest IMO. Also the red matter was weird. Still, this movie broke my stereotype of Star Trek being just some other Sci Fi story.

A very atmospheric re-boot of the franchise. The characters are very well drawn, there's lots of action, the art style is very fitting. It is very refreshing to see that it sets itself apart from the old franchise (

StarTreck (German V): 5/10

Omigawd, they had Clark Kent dub Spock! Really, it sucks to have the Stoic Determinator (Spock) voiced by the kansas farmboy, the scot (Scotty) talk standard German (as well as most other characters loosing their accent) and most of the difference between the serious scenes and the fun scenes ("yeah, Pike made him first officer") was lost. If you have the chance to, watch the original version, it's way better.

Dragonball Evoloution

A descent attempt at an anime classic, but could have been so much better. Poor production values and badly directed scene's let it down, but if you are a DragonBall Z fan like me then you will still like it I suppose. 7\10

Let's try something new - been a while since i did a review.

The History Boys.
You sometimes wonder why this isn't called something more provocative. The entire rest of the movie is, and the title appears dumped down in all honesty. Then again, honesty is something that apparently doesn't go very far in this film. The Daily Express awards it 'Top Marks all round'. I would rather it said top farts all round. There is an exceptionally disturbing scene involving a bunch of guys acting out a French scene in General Studies. The only difference is that it involves prostitutes and semi-naked boys. It's a frightfully scaring scene, and pretty much sets the tone for the movie itself. And frankly on top of frankly, you spend most of the movie wondering which of the boys is homosexual, and then once you've figured that out, you have to wonder which teachers are, and then go on and figure out the boys again as they've seemingly changed stance in two weeks. Frightfully smart and well-educated, the movie see the boys preparing for Oxford examinations, roughly as normally as watching a snail being blasted into space on the back of a Pyro from Team Fortress 2. There is no preparation, but a window into the lives of the boys, their day to day tribulations, and mostly concerning stuff that you wouldn't discuss with anyone other than your sexual partner (the likes I of which I won't utter here for the possibility of offending everyone under the sun). It may be representative of teenage boys, but the non-shirking realism of the movie is... wrong. There are always sweet moments, and genuine moments. But for the most part it's a question of who wants to bang guys, and who wants to do girls. And that is about as least provocative as I can put it. Richard Harris plays the homosexual General Studies teacher, and plays the role very well, but it's an odd one, and fondling a boy's genitals at 50mph (to quote the movie) isn't exactly my cup of tea. Add into that a bunch of pre-pubescent boys who don't know whether they're coming or going, and a huge pile of French, poetry, and History, and you have one oddball movie. Oh, and when pupils hit on male teachers, you just know that if you're not totally open to this concept, you're going to have a lot of problems. More's the pity, as this is a good movie, a touching, heartfelt approach to boys. And yet unless you're totally secure, you're going to wonder how you got to be this uncomfortable in the movie.

8/10, minus some of the context.
2/10, including the whole context. my squeamishness, and the ending which just makes a total farce out of the the entire movie, and puts everybody's educations to shame.

Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla II

One of the better ones, a few weird things though... For example, the revelation that Godzilla has a second brain at the base of his tail is a bit, um, strange. Godzilla Jr. was good though, much better than Minilla of old.Mechagodzilla II itself was the usual 'armed to the teeth' you'd get out of Mechagodzillas.

Also, "The Engine Room's On Fire!" is now a meme.

Underworld 3

I watched the first 2 films with joy and suspense, both films were exellent, dark and very well made. So when I got wind of a 3rd I couldn't wait. The 3rd movie is a prelude to the first two with and exellent story, it keeps it's dark elements and grips you with it's story. A fine instalment and I can't wait for the 4th to be made.

Angels & Demons 9/10

This movie surprised me. I thought it would be mediocre and focused on the effects and actors. Thankfully I was quite pleasantly surprised. The story stayed quite faithful to the novel and kept you hooked throughout the movie. And because the book was reasonably epic in my view, the movie was quite powerful as well. Tom Hanks was solid but it was Ewan McGregor's performance that proved best to me. The action was well balanced with the puzzle solving and thankfully there is NO romantic subplot.

If I shouldn't read the book, I should give it 10 but when you read the book you expect more things all the time, but still this didn't changed my mind on how cool this movie really is, creating that church digitally that realistic alone needs an applause, its full of emotion and ' curiousity ' , yes even though I read the book, I still was curious about to see what should happen, it was that good !
