The way time travel works in the CnC universe, is that it creates a split timeline, RA1 splits away from out timeline.
In RA2, the time travel creates a split timeline which murges back at the time of the orginal timetravel, some things become dominent, others are erased.
Paradoxes don't exist in the RA univerce.

Red Alert 3 will be using what is called the RNA game engine, which is apparently a 60% re-designed Strategy Action Game Engine (SAGE).
