Power comes in many forms, not just in governmental form. I still believe that Anarchy will never work. People aren't designed to cope with it, it isn't human nature. Sure, on a very small scale it might work....for a period of time. They say: "to each his own", but don't forget, people do become jealous, though they may not show it immediately.
