As for the chessboard, it's next to impossible on dante must die without a tactic. If you generally just fight, (which most people do) then you're screwed. You can't stop some of the front line to reach the end... Then they'll spawn a bastion out of themselves and you are just dead. Every 10 seconds, all bastions spawn another higher ranked statue, and in these 10 secs they are invulnerable. If you survive for 5 mins, then the whole board is full of bastions, horses and wizards. YOU HAVE LOST.
My tactic is to use beowulf to simply fall-kick the king from the air until he becomes vulnerable. Then do whatever trick you want, and when he's invulnerable, just air-kick him again. You'll never fall down.

"Just pull Ebony and Ivory out, strafe, and shoot its heads. Sure win."
Thats sounds easy but when you face cerberus its tottaly different.I use that tactic too.Its also good to hit him in foot.Thats the way too bring heads down for a while. But anyway still one of hardest opp to me.

I had trouble with them the most tbh.
But they were all easy after I got Quick Silver to slow down time + the Devil Trigger and the one Dante that gives you infinite Devil Trigger, then I basically owned everyone
