As slye said, you will need hamachi (VPN) to play.

To play online, you need a CD-Key, Which some of us didn't get.
And the ubisoft support is practically a read-only format (there 'ask a question' thing is broken, and there's not contact e-mail).
LAN dosn't require a CD-Key, so just get Hamachi.
