is there a problem with the server, or is it just me?
recently this site has been taking ages to load stuff or just timing out, was just curious.

Sometimes wont open at all.

I was wondering the same thing. In the morning/early afternoon, it takes so long to load it times out 75% of the time, and only in the later afternoon do load times become more normal. Glad to hear it's not just me, here's hoping it'll be solved soon.

just some dozen mins i wanted to make a topic about that, but then gave up cuz it took too damn long to load anything... >.<
wasnt even rly sure about it, but 16Mbit here (and i tested that its 100% ok) and 30 secs for forums loading...
btw where is the server located? having a 160 ping from here atm... :(

To some degree I'm still having said "issues". The site takes/is taking a lot longer to load than it normally would.

Bro its been like this for almost Week now... i was gunna post about it but thought it was just me! [i only log in from work to kill time and our networks been a bit dodgy of late] took me 5 goes to even get in tonight..

Also.. without pointing fingers i really think the SLOW performance cant be helped by the MASSIVE and elaborate Sigs SOME people are using... that 'Arny wanting to buy a PS3' GIF is funny yes...but its also almost 1 MEG in size... that is gunna be a killer to loadup every time

Server issues. That means that the server ES (and CNCNZ and Revora) is having connections problems, that is NOT connected with overly large sigs. The forum works fine from time to time, it's just occasionally that it pops out - but in the afternoon (like now) it works fine, and loads as it's supposed to.

Those same sigs which were also there before the server started to slow down. It's a issue with the server itself, not the load being put upon it.

The images aren't on the server, so why would they slow it down? o_6

Although, i have to agree most of em are pointlessly large, and rather annoying >.>

This would probably also explain why I haven't received all that many "Topic Subscription Reply Notification" E-mails recently.

Server should be fixed now. PPM (Project Perfect Mod) was being invaded by Chinese bots. If you go to their forums it'll say something like 9000+ guests at the bottom. I think Revora was also attacked. We've blocked four specific IPs and later a range of IP addresses. I've also changed some Apache settings and how Apache handles PHP processes and how many connections a PHP process accepts before it expires. So the server should actually handle it better if we ever get attacked again (hopefully).

So hopefully everything has been resolved thanks to MM, Banshee and me.
