That is still very much alpha. Aside from using the Ra2 unit voices, they are also using the Tiberium Wars EVA. But the game does look really good. *approves*

Awesome...Blooming bright crayon colours, proportions which are fucked up beyond the regular level and it's all topped off by the most chickenshit nuke-explosion since C&C3...Bloody hell, what a great game they cooked up for us...They didn't even use the right house-colour for the Soviets in THE VERY FIRST scene.

IT NEVER EFFING FAILS! FIRST SHOCKWAVE 0.95 AND NOW THIS!
Excuse me, but our IP has gone and shaped us again at the exact moment of the release of something I want to download. It's currently in progress but won't be finished for some time.
Good to hear people are liking it so far, and I cant wait (though... I... have... to...) to see it myself.

Ah, it finished downloading!
And I do approve.
That looks amazing.
I don't know if any of you looked too closely, but there's a wealth of beautiful little touches in there that I haven't seen in a game of this sort for a long time. The aircraft carrier decks open to retrieve planes (they don't just disappear), the Tesla animations are cool, the build animations look awesome, the physics look as good or better than any RTS I've seen (flags flapping, debris showering, buildings collapsing, ships sinking, planes crashing etc.), the sounds as you say Stinger are incredible (Kirovs... need I say more?), the explosion effects are beautiful and that water looks freaking incredible. Tesla Towers placed on water are double-ended, shadows are crisp, the colours suit perfectly, and generally I'm impressed. Can't wait for the game now...

Notice the buildings don't pop up out of the water using animations but use construction scaffolding instead a la Generals.
This is a good step in the evolution of the traditional C&C "build anywhere system" as it allows the attacking player to damage a structure before construction is completed - this way you don't have armoured fortresses sprouting out of the ground in front of you.
God, I love the sound of the Soviet AA ripping into those Allied planes - it gives me aural pleasure.
That is going to be so very satisfying to use
Other things I noticed:
>The tactical nuke draws / sucks nearby units into it - this was an idea that posted several times on the boards in the ShockWave forums here for various Generals Powers
>The Soviets have a helicopter of some kind that fires a rocket barrage, sort of like the Comanche from Generals
>Particle effects use exhaust instead of contrails

I saw a very small Aircraft carrier. But meh. Seems to be a good game, I am impressed of the Naval Warfare it's truly well done.
And That nuke is small. MOAR BIG, looks like Nuke Cannon's mushroom.

wow, iam surprised... really. did they use the EXACT same design for the kirov as in ra2? looks wonderful, this brings so much good memories back. i might even buy it for xbox as i will never be able to afford a rig that can handle that... shame on me, i know.

Hmm, I do have to agree. But then it is still alpha or whatever, and that nuke effect didn't look totally finished, so hopefully we'll get something a tad more polished for the final version.
I still didn't see any Empire of the Rising Sun. Keeping that close to their chest, aren't they?

Don't expect to see the third faction for another while yet, like they did with the Scrin.
Shame on you, indeed. XD
After Red Alert 2, I vowed that I would never again play C&C on a PC that wasn't able to run it smooth, with everything flat out.
I'm hoping my aging machine will be able to run this - I don't have any problems with C&C 3 or KW - because by the time Red Alert 3 comes around my machine will be three. =o

The game looks really cool! Grafiks have gone a long way! Just look at the water and the explosion effects on the water...NICE!
The "nuke" at the end looks more like some kind of implosion bomb to me!

EA's had how many chances to get the nuke right, and they STILL flubbed it up. It sucks the units in and then it makes them look like they're having an epileptic seizure. The units are gathered into the middle for far too long and the plume doesn't form until the units sucked in are reduced to their dead models. Skins on some buildings look a bid shoddy and grossly out of place. Gorgeous water effects and being able to see ships sink is a nice touch, but that's about the only thing I liked after watching the trailer.
Nice try EA, but you have still committed a MAJOR FILE.

That ore field looks a hell of a lot better than random patches of crystals sprouting out of the ground for no particular reason, I can't see anything wrong with the Soviet War Factory (it's a fork-like antennae that swivels up and down, on a turret), the explosions look crisp and in keeping with RA2's style, scaling has never been realistic in any Red Alert game, and for god's sakes it's only an alpha, so I'd be astonished if everything there was rock-solid, locked down for release or even finished (such as the cursors).

scale: when you need a argument to bash the game
really its like bitching about the B1 in shockwave, since when the scale was important for the game to be fun?
and about the new ore field........well..........i want to play it before saying how is the new system.......but i am sure is better than having ore/gems flotating in water
and about the repair system of C&C3, correct me if i am wrong but...........isnt the Allieds the ONLY ONES with repair drones around the warfactories?
