Watch out for pretty people and dodgy costumes, for once the UK entry isn't horrific (I apologise profusely for this), but the Irish have beaten us, they have failed to qualify for the final. If you want to find out why, Youtube Irish eurovision 2008 entry, it will take about 20 seconds for you to figure out why. Perhaps RTE (IIRC) are still broke from the 1990's eurovision pummellings.
In case you care the Swede's are tipped to win.

And the UK entry is OK - only downside is that he's a failed reality TV person = we don't actually like him that much...

england always sucks in this and i refuse to watch cos i hate looking at my country getting humiliated...
You assume I don't know this? England amongst 3 others automatically get to the final because we pay for the competition, however this brushes the politics a lot closer and should not be commented on.
Given the quality of our entries I look forward to 'nil points'

Actually, it's "nul points", the "n" is nasal and the "s" is silent.

Sorry if this comment is borderline-political but I just tried to sum up the very essence of this contest.

Why not have an eastern and western eurovision? that would cancel out the block voting and hopefully make it a bit fairer.
Although, we wouldnt have wogans awesome commentary

I'm not complaining about the competitors... on the contrary I think it sport to comment on the "heat" level of the contestants.
But why is Israel there? Last I checked Israel isn't part of Europe.
