Just this weekend, I have really grown to love SimCity 4. It allows great management of your city, ease of zoning and a wide variety of resources to make sure you are building your city right. The only things I think could be better are the U-Drive It and the tutorials. Some of the advisors can also get annoying.

SimCity 2000 was pretty fun with all the variety you had. If only SimCity 4 had that variety.

Number 4 was quite good, but to be honest I prefer 3000 Unlimited.

I can't deciede between SC4 and SC3000 unlimited.

In terms of gameplay I find it hard to pick one over the other.

SC4 had the Lot editor tool which I loved.

But SC300 had those little ticker messages that made me roflmao, plus better music.

SC4 had some nice easter eggs....like that factory called "Kane's Tiberium".

Sim City 4 hands down. Man that game was awesome.

roflmao, when I first started playing it, my city would go into the pits of bankrupcy so I would borrow hundreds of thousands of dollars and tax the businesses and ppl insanely ... and eventually my population plummeted xD

The funny thing is when I tax my people like crazy, nobody leaves, but nobody comes in XD. When I realized that I can tax like crazy, then my cities started to be successful. I also really like the Area 5.1 building in SimCity 4. Especially the two planes you get.

I love both SimCity3000 and SimCity4, but I consider 4 to be the superior of the two. Mainly for it's superior terrain morphing abilities.
Lost World City anyone? :P

SimCity 4. But only barely. I have played Simcity, 2000, 3000, and 4. I disliked the first, 2000 I had for a couple of years and it was quite fun. I liked the volcano scenario and I really liked the fact that the national guard could help you out. 3000 was great, I loved the newstickers, especially the ones like "Broccoli eaters won't let cauliflower eaters march in their neighborhoods". So funny.

Simcity 4 is more serious though, and I like the regions, the terrain, the graphics, everything.

Sim City was awesome at it's time.

Sim City took it to the next level. It was the most difficult as well.

Sim City 3000 had a lot of charm.

Sim City 4 has a lot of features, good graphics and such. I hate The Sims though, good thing the Sims part was optional.

And no I don't have a favorite :o

I only played SimCity 3000 and SimCity 4 before, but 3000 was long ago and I forgot what was in there, so SimCity 4 for me. =o

Sim City 2000 was the only one I played. I played literally a couple of seconds in Sim City 3000... but that was it. Can't really vote.
I loved the Sim games though. Sim Tower anyone?

I've played them all except Societies, and I have to say SC2000 with the SimCopter expansion is the best.

Pretty much my position, except I loved the first one. Ever used the Lot Editor tool? Its a ton of fun.

I <3 Sim Tower! That game was 1337.

I forget what the game was called

Ever played Streets of SimCity? It was so fun. You could load cities from SimCity(either 2000 or 3000) and drive around in a hovering car with energy shields firing missiles at criminals.

I tried SimCopter, but could never figure out the controls.

I also recall playing a game called "Sim Town" or something.

It sucked.
