(The guidelines for the IRC are the same as for the forums and any actions that contavene the forum rules also apply.)

Go dtiomsaítear do chód gan earráidí, is go gcríochnaítear do chláir go réidh. -Old Irish proverb

Every member has the right to say what he thinks. You should respect other peoples' views no matter how much you might disagree with them." (don't read the next part ...)

She started that fight
Surely defending yourself in a fight does not merit a warning?! Defiantly not one that causes a perminant ban
Mike
this wasn't from the fight you're reffering to, even though she didn't start that one either.
also: the point of the warning level is for you to see that your on the edge, chris knew his warn was high, and the staffs tollerance for his comments was low, he should have been more cautious in his actions and not done anything that could result in another warning.

The same level of admin etc pretty much as always. The problem is is that society is relaxing it's rules generally, so members are relaxing further in the forums/IRC, and therefore expect the standards of this forum to also lower, which they have not - hence when something like this comes up it is seen as being harsh, but to be honest, the forum is being run pretty much as always - but external societies dictate for less and this is translated to some members' posts. That's the way I see it anyways.

A warn for both is a reasonable punishment.
And the fact that Lizzie is always involved in flame wars, is because of idiots who think it is funny to play around with her.
Don't play with fire kids, you get burned.

Lizzie and ReLaX just don't go together - two different meanings there.
But I'd agree that Chris would have been better to leave it alone once he saw Lizzie go off on one, and she in turn wouldn't have incited it all had she not. Everyone has flaws - sadly these guys have flaws that worsen each others.
