They're based off a current design, but I kind of went my own way with the Model and Texture, it may resemble the old design but it's still pretty original both Geometry and skin wise IMO.

And here I was, reading japanese urban legends and now I came across a scary, but creepily similar to Kuchisake Onna on your sig and a good avvy. If scary factor is set aside it is great.

Don't think the eye is meant to be reflecting anything, just supposed to look like it has ligaments inside it, imo.
The sig does look really quite good, but I must admit it is not my cup of tea due to the slightly perturbing nature
