Dmitriy McBear?

Updates from AAP suggests the Russian Black Sea Navy is preparing a naval blockade against Georgian ports, although this has been denied by the Russians.

Oh I am really keen on Tu-160s flying across whole Europe and bombarding cities with H-bombs ... :bigeye:

Are you looking to incite a flame war by making such hateful and outlandish statements?

Next time I see a comment like that from you or anyone else in this thread I will gladly give you something to think about.

This thread has taken a deadly turn for the worse as usual because people cannot discuss current events without getting political.

The last thing I heard was that the EU's going to do nothing about this. They condemned the fighting and asked for an immediate ceasefire but none of the important politicians mentioned the possibility of a military involvement. This is a thing between Georgia and Russia and we're smart enough to stay the fuck out of Russia's way. That comment about bombarding European cities was as cynical as it was uncalled for. If that happened, the 2029 asteroid flyby will be nothing to worry about anymore.

I think the best to do for both sides is to :chillpill2:

Also, I don't encourage ANY interference against Russia, as the conflict would just escalate.

The only dudes who said that EU will send military forces are the Baltic states and Poland (and what makes the thing look ridicilous is that they are calling a meeting to ask the EU Comission to send in military aid :) )

I agree with the other's on this, all other Countries should just stay the heck out of this.
The more that get involved, the quicker this will escalate and ofcourse that's the last thing we need because it's horrible enough now anyway ...

Thank you everybody for support :)

So, let's look throw the latest news:

Russian navy has countered a Georgian missile vessel attack, Georgia losses 1 vessel - http://life.ru/news/30121

Surrounded Georgian units are surrendering (some of them without any fighting) - http://life.ru/news/29869

And perhaps, the most funny: after official Georgian propaganda screamed about "Russian vacuum bomb bombardments of peaceful towns", the Georgian people are in panic and curse Saaky. The bastard is kicking himself with his own propaganda. - http://news.mail.ru/...tics/1936316/et

Also, Abkhazia is pushing Georgian forces out on the Abkhazian front. American mercenaries captured in Ossetia.

I feel that the end is very-very near

Depends on your definition of the end.... Is it so simple to just have a short war, and nothing happen after it is over? Revenge is a powerful, and even foolish emotion. I am sure it is far from over. Even if Russia wins, or Georgia, it won't be over.

Georgia has already almost lost. They're retreating and surrendering everywhere.

Right now the casualty ratio is:

Russia: 21 men
Georgia: 300 men

I wouldn't entirerly rely on that.
Just because it's in Wikipedia doesn't mean it is 100% correct.

Remember, the Article is only as " True " as the Author knows / see's it.

Maybe, but however, that's the most reliable and independent source available to simple noobs as we. (since nobody's name here is Putin or Medvedev)
Wikipedia doesn't put unverified data (for exg, the data on 2 downed Russian warplanes they wrote only after Ministry of Defense accepted that).

I could go in right now and edit it to say 20 million died today. How do you know someone else didn't do something similar?

Ok, if you don't like Wikipedia - let's look what says us other sources:

Vitaliy Kaloyev is fighting among the Ossetian militants

http://news.mail.ru/society/1935042/

Translation: "In the village near Tshinkvali there are seen hunders of militants. Some of them wear insignia "Cossacks corps of Russia" and rifles, also a lot of them seen with captured NATO uniform.
Among of them is the famous Ossetian Vitaliy Kaloyed famous for killing Swiss aircontroller who was responsable for death of his familily. Kaloyev aftre realesure from Swiss prison got place in North Ossetian goverment but prefered to fight arms by arms with his fellow countrymen."

South-Ossetian forces have crossed the Georgian border

http://news.mail.ru/...tics/1936706/et

Saaky tried to commite suicide

http://news.mail.ru/politics/1936745/

Posted Image

Translation: "Georgian leader Mikheil Saakashvily tried to commite sucide, thinking that the war is lost. His bodyguard grabbed his pistol from him in last moment.

- Saakashvily is holding still only on pshyhodelic medicaments, he has eyes of madman...
By info from his frontline encirclement, Saakashvily returnt from front very worried.

- Even the distant shots put Mikheil now in shock.

- His statements change every seconds! First he said that "Georgia has put Russia on it knees" and then shortly after he phoned Medvedev and begged him to "stop this maddnes". He first told Georgian sportsmen to return home, but just after 3 hours ordered them to stay at the Olympics.

Today Mikheil tried to phone in Moscow and to speak with Dmitriy Medvedev, but got a refusal

In his own country the Georgian leader is scornfully called Misiko. Among the demoralized Georgian army travels a joke about "Mishiko's" secret weapon: "Mishiko hides his most powerful cannon in his pants"."

Aren't you still sure that it's a matter of few days until Georgia surrenders? I bet that Saaky's career will end simultaneosly with the war :) The only question I have: how did the bastard didn't predicted his own full defeat? Did he thought that Russia will be afraid of him because of his American friends?

RE-re-re-re re-re-edit:

Sorry about that post. I had to edit it lest I get banned. It was very very harsh, and brutal. But Al Hassan is still dumb. :) NO PLAYING FAVORITES!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously. You pretty much said one country was better then the other. And alot of people may get offended. What if someone who is from Georgia was here at ES? You try to have a little war with them? Think before you type! Damn imbecile....

May I suggest you to do the same?

I hope the admins will save the tread from its little fiasco by taking any necessary action short of locking it, I believe that's the last thing we want thread to go down into.

Well, I do not think can. why? Because I have had a shitty week, a boring day, lack of smokes, and i am itching for a fight. So, if they must, they can punish me. I guess I won't mind, so long as the thread stays open, and people, including me, mind there post!
