Highly interesting and also rather humorous experiment, it was called "Tardigrades in Space" or short "TARDIS" XD

But yes, you are right, perhaps we'll try sending them to other planets or somehting at some point, as a probe "manned" with them wouldn't need much to keep them alive for a very, very long time.

Interesting, I think that poor creatures genetic code is going to be in quite high demand for experiments..
