Should voting ages be lowered to 16?

Since in some counties, you can have almost all the rights of an adult (i.e in Scotland, you can get married, have a family, join the Army at 16 and a half, earn a wage and leave school), should you have the right to vote. Seeing as how many issues concern people who are 16 or younger nowadays, should 16 year olds be able to vote and play a part in democracy?
