Ooo this could be fun.
If in the 1950s they imagined flying cars and such in the year 2000 i doubt we will have them soon.
I'm betting on some sort of scientific breakthrough which will help no one practically.

The present isn't bleak, but it's far from exciting, and it's only going downhill. I guess looking from the future perspective, the present may be exciting, as the past, from a present perspective, was in fact exciting.

I like the idea of looking back on a day which i once thought was bleak and it being rather interesting in comparison.

Mankind will not live to see the year 3000. We're well past our finest hours.

well im hoping for a major conflict to happen cuz im joining the army and shooting goats and roos is quite boring and a major war that envelopes the world would be a good thing to cut down on the overpopulation problems and make a stronger race of people and maybe a nuclear war to solve global warming and in every disaster movie Australia always turns out fine so i have confidants there XD
or the price of fuel will rise ever higher and not much further advancement in alternative fuel/power things
and we can also look back in the day where we had to fight off obesity and macdonalds joints every where and tell your children that it was constant danger of walking into a fast food place and getting fat
edit: spelling lol
