Here I'm making a list of members and organizations from my book for easy reference, hope you enjoy it:

Weapons:

Quote

XR-M82A03 Anti-Materiel Rifle: experimental anti-materiel rifle using railgun technology, can deliver up to fifteen shots (at Mach 5) with one battery and uses a ten round detachable box magazine, of which the wielder carries about three. Each battery is built into each magazine, and therefore the wielders must carry the spent magazines, although their relatively light weigh makes it easier than most would have expected. Normally uses .50 armor-piercing incindiary rounds. Also has a variable-geometry barrel, allowing it to conform to normal, lighter rifle rounds, or larger, heavier plasma rounds (experimental). Comes in a "bullpup" configuration and is extremely quiet and has almost no recoil due to the railgun power system. Able to fire bullet anywhere from Mach 3 to Mach 8 (the higher the more power used), and is able to fire accurately at up to two and a half miles, although the scope is able to zoom in up to ten miles using an optical/digital hybrid computer. Is said to have sunk a small aircraft-carrier in the hands of USAF General Trace Ashikawa while testing it for use in combat. Used mainly by OZ as the Army was disinterested and looked away from the project after Trace's defection a year into its production, only fifty exist in the US Army. Designed by GunCo Industries.

Quote

XR-Dragoon: .50 caliber AP pistol. Essentially a desert eagle modified with a 15 inch long barrel (although it can easily be shortened to 10). Boast the highest accuracy, firepower, and recoil of any handgun (or handcannon) in the world. Variable geometry cannon allows for it to use most handgun bullets, as well as most rifle shells as well. Uses a very powerful EM pulse to shoot the projectile anywhere from Mach 2 to Mach 5. The disposable battery is lightweight and attached to the each magazine and can empty out the clip before running out of power. Usually used with .50 caliber AP rounds (of which it can hold up to fifteen) and can also hold up to five or six .50 caliber anti-materiel, incindiary rounds. Has also been known to been known to carry up to thirty conventional .50 caliber rounds such as used in the desert eagle. Fully customized and expensive, the gun was never meant to be held by any normal human, nor has it ever been fired by any normal human... effectively. In 2007, AG member Gareth Gold (although not a normal human as he is an Extended, as with most people in the AG), is said to have fired the gun off on a bet with Trace, its one and only successful wielder; he broke his arm almost completely and it took about two months to heal. Since then the gun has never been fired by another man but Trace. Instead, it was made under the direct order of USAF General Trace Ashikawa for himself. Only two were ever made, both for him and one was retrieved by Subaru during his defection. Also worth noting is that the pistol is made of a completely new kind of metal that allows which is far more durable, effective, and long lasting as the usual composite steels and titaniums used in most railguns. Has been fabled to be able to place a shot through a quarter at over a half mile, but there is no concrete proof, only witnesses. Both have barrels made of Orichalcum which can actually consume and assimilate the bullet's tip to orichalcum as well. The gun's recoil is due to the very rapid moving of the gun although it is also due to the fact that the rapid movement is also powered by a small, but powerful EM pulse. Designed by GunCo Industries. If needed, the gun can be attached to a stock to lighten the recoil and make it more stable in quick-shooting although it still is more than any human can usually bear, and Trace, with his
"almost supernatural skills in combat," as said by Gareth, never uses it, saying it would just add "dead weight."

Apollo (Space-based Ion Particle Projection Cannon): a space-based particle cannon secretly commissioned and built by the US branch of GDI. The cannon was built during the building of the American-Russo Moon Base and the materials sent to it were launched under the guise of moon-base materials. Six exist, two of which are cloaked by a special "Chameleon Skin" and heat shielding and are on a geosynchronous orbit around the Earth. The other four are hidden in an asteroid field not too far from Earth and also have heat shielding, although they are bigger and more powerful. On top of that, each is powered by a cold-fusion reactor built by Trace Ashikawa. Trace is said to have built over 88% of the machine, the most part of the missing being coding for the software, which was made by his friend Yuki. Each cannon has 18 separate, smaller, Ion cannons each of which can deliver several megatons of force to a target. When needed, all eighteen guns can be fired simultaneously and the beams fused to exponentially multiply the power of the cannon. It can also hold up to eight "Kinetic Strike" Missiles, twelve Thermonuclear Missiles, and the cannon for offensive purposes. For defense, each is armed with two nuclear cannons, meant to defend it against small fleets, powered by a railgun. On top of that, it also contains several large silos of anti-ship and anti-craft missiles, as well as high-powered lasers that can defend it from missiles and small craft. For movement it uses either a nuclear-pulse engine or a hydrogen-propellant that is forced out a nozzle by collected hydrogen from the "vacuum" of space for stealthy moving (as it makes VERY little heat). To add to its danger level, it is equipped with several cameras, making it a very efficient spy satellite which it DOES function as sometime, information which is directly relayed to the CIA, although the source is top secret and only the Director knows of it. It cost several hundred trillion dollars to build all six. Although, each penny was worth it, the cannon is able to strike ANY target in the world within a few minutes of getting the confirmation and is absolutely impregnable by any known weapon. The cannon is a completely close-circuit system, accessible from only five-places in the world: one under the White House, one in the CIA building in Quantico, one somewhere in the East Coast, one in Japan, and one in Russia. Less than fifteen people in the world know about the weapon or its access points and the President's Access code is required to use it, although a universal code made by Trace can also be used. The beam can also be modified to cause tremors/full-sized earthquakes and the force and heat of the beam can rival that of a nuclear weapon. The fire rate is completely ridiculous as it can "reload" and cool, as well as fire off another round in just four/five minutes. The cannon is built mainly out of super-tough, super-resistant materials unknown to man. The cannon is on par with weapons of even the Shambalan Empire, the most advanced civilization known to man, something that both President Kamui and Trace Ashikawa brag about (as it was meant to be so). It should also be noted that the satellite contains all information gathered by mankind since its existence in its supercomputer databases, Trace's attempt that-in case something were to go horribly wrong- human kind's history would continue to exist. Designed by GunCo Industries.

Kinetic Strike (Extra-terrestrial ICBM)- The Kinetic Strike Missile, also known unofficially as "The Hammer" was, before the inception of Project Apollo, the most powerful nonnuclear weapon known to man. The missile, large by most standards although very small compared to most ICBMs, were the "Posterboard Weapon" of GDI and had been used several times when dealing with terrorists hiding under mountains. The missile, not really a missile by most standards, would be launched by an ElectroMagnetic Catapult (kind of like a railgun) after which it would only use the minimal amount of fuel to reach the Earth's atmosphere. Upon reaching the Earth's atmosphere, the missile would then start its main boosters. The engines and seven separate sets of fins and tails on its body (all of which can be individually rotated) would move to accomodate the missile's trajectory. The missile is capable of exploding anywhere in between its intended maximum range or anywhere on route. The warhead itself weighs several tons of conventional high explosive although it can be swapped out for a small fission/thermonuclear warhead based on the need of the target. The missiles head is drill-like in nature. The missile was made so that upon reaching the atmosphere it would start to rotate steadily although rapidly, effectively making a drill. The missile itself can dig up to ten miles underground and then explode its massive payload, causing massive earthquakes that could last for weeks or even months and are powerful enough to cause cave ins. The missile's detonation system is based on altitude and distance. Of course, the missile, can explode above ground, and is designed that if it does so, the missile's rotation and unique build would essentially turn it into a giant fragmentation bomb, raining deadly shrapnel capable of destroying even the most heavily armored tanks. Commissioned in 2003, the missile has only been used a handful of times, each time sanctioned by the UN, each by the US, and each time to effectively eradicate an enemy threat. The Kinetic Strike is a direct descendant of the Allies' WWII Earthquake Bomb, whose own principles it still uses in its own design. For tunneling beyond three miles, the missiles MUST be outfitted with special "digging" equipment, although the extra mass and its design also helps add to the impact force and increases the rotation in midair. Designed by GunCo Industries.

Quote

Dreadnought (PEWS: Prototype Electromagnetic Warfare Ships): Dreadnought-class ships are throwbacks to the days of the Battleship. During the early 21st Century, the use of missiles and torpedoes almost doomed any surface-sailing ship. Of course, however, this means that the weapon is still in its experimental stage. The weapon, designed by GunCo Industries, is past the pre-experimental stage and is already slated to enter full production. Its main armament is a ten-inch, rotational, triple-turret cannon system (of which there are four, totaling in twelve guns in all), although there are also many anti-missile and anti-aircraft systems, as well as four six-inch guns and many kinds of anti-ship and anti-armor missiles onboard. All guns are highly powerful, next generation railgun, meaning that the power of each ten-inch gun is equivalent to that of the power of Hitler's 80cm DORA railway guns, although the six-inchers are much, much less powerful, only giving a total of a twelve inch-gun. The ship is built light and is only a few feet larger than a destroyer, although it can hold and launch two or three helicopters of various kinds. The highlight of this ship, however, is the EMDS (ElectroMagnetic Dome Shield) which essentially runs a very powerful current through the specialized armor plating of the ship which makes a very powerful magnetic field around the ship, making it immune to most missiles, torpedoes, and shells (due to their metal components), as it is capable of deflecting projectiles at up to a projected speed of Mach 15. The ships' shield is also customizable, allowing the operator to leave holes in the shield through which allied ships can hide and given that the ships usually travel in caravans of two or four, a dozen of them can very easily hide two or three carriers and encompass a few miles of sea in its own shields. The only known way to pierce the shields are the highly volatile and experimental Plasma Shells, which the ships are also fabled to carry, although no known confirmation has been made. There have been several attempts to transfer the technology on to the carriers, although due to the planes on the deck, frequent landings and takeoffs, it is hard to make an effective shield system for them, so most just rely on the already proven effective ships. Not one ship has been sunk in its six years of service, and seeing as how short its design and production period was, it is all the more amazing. To add on to it all, the ships' shields are also unique in that they can intake signals coming from friendly ships/craft and automatically make a hole in the shield for them (made by cutting off power flow to a certain part of the ships), and close as soon as the craft is out of the shields' effective range.

If anything sounds illogical/impossible PLEASE let me know. Also, please move if necessary. If anything makes no sense, please feel free to ask!

Some rather impressive stuff here. Those Ion Cannons in particular... well, if they were in any game, I think 'overpowered' would be a masterful understatement. One thing I would ask is: how much will these weapons feature within the story, and how much explanation will they get therein? As putting explanations like this in the text can work, but it requires very careful attention to work correctly, and should IMHO only be done if such understanding is necessary for the reader to make sense of the text. Otherwise I feel it often comes off as a bit jargon-ish to the casual reader.

Looks interesting!

A few suggestions to all writters new and old when thinking of writting a online story or any kind of story it's handy to have the following;
___________________________________________
1. Character Data Sheet, the list of all your characters with a backstory and updated personality for your purposes when looking for inspiration and a list changes that happen along the way with him/her/it
2. A list of technologies and weapons that appear in your stories
3. Write a few chapters ahead of time before posting, so if you see if one is a tad too long you divide it and hold on a bit before posting or combine two (or three!) shorter ones.

An example of a Character sheet this is the old one I made up for MOF - this is not advertising-

SAS:
William Harrison former SAS team function: rifleman and language expert, his weapon of choice the Steyr Stg.77 AUG bullpup Assault Rifle. Leader of the group

James Brookfield former SAS C team function: light machine gunner his weapon of choice is the M249 SAW with a mounted C-79 scope. Silent type

SEALS

Mark Garson former Navy SEAL team function: demolitions expert, his weapon of choice is the P-90 smg. Goes to extremes when using explosives

Carl Steiner former Navy SEAL team function: pilot (helicopters small turbo-prop airplanes) his weapon of choice the MP-5 smg. Personality tbd

Other

Michael J. Caboose, former JTF2; team function: sniper, his weapon of choice is the LRSW .50 cal rifle. May or may not be insane tbd

Nichole Black; Archeologist

“Mr. Black” ???

etc...

2. What you posted up there but in shorthand on a ms word file
3. Self-explanatory.

I hope this will help you out abit if you decide to use this.

Thank you everyone! Just for the record, the Ion cannon was MEANT to be overpowered, an unassailable fortress that could seek and destroy any target in the world. President Kamui (who I'll tell you about later) uses it as his personal weapon in ways... well, I'll post it up soon enough.

@ JB, not sure Commander; The anti-materiel rifle is going to be used quite a bit and so will the Dragoons, although I'm not sure how they'll be described. As for the cannon, it'll be used a few times and it is described in a talk with the Premier of the New Soviet Union, or as they call themselves, the NUSSR (the Neo-USSR).

@ General; don't worry I will put up a character chart sooner or later although I will also have to update it as certain aspects of the characters I will come up with as the story evolves and I see fit.

Also, if anything looks impossible, let me know. I'm also adding a new goody!

It should also be noted this all takes place in 2012.

The charts are for you 8| you keep them generally on a seperate document for quick referencing. But a list of Characters are always nice fore the reader.

Characters *Past Life of Trace*:

Quote

*Vlad III Dracula*: Ruler of Walachia, Conqueror of Constantinople. Under his iron-fist rule he united the worlds of Christianity and Islam under one empire. Within ten years, his empire rivaled that of any other country. He died some fifteen years after his conquest, his body was never found. Not much more is known about him other than he had a servant, one of Islamic descent that he took with him everywhere he went. Also was known to believe that prayer was futile, that God only responded to those who took action, and only those who made Great Things Happen.

Quote

*Count Dracula*: A legendary Nosferatu. Said to have arisen from the corpse of Vlad the Impaler, Vlad Dracula. Just like his counterpart, not much is known about him save that he had an unquenchable bloodthirst and could not be killed by anything used (even sunlight, unlike his ghouls). He slaid anyone who got in his way and roamed the lands, looking for what he claims to be an old servant of his, muttering only Subaru when asked about her name.

Quote

Trace Ashikawa: The protagonist of the book. A god by birth, although he has been trapped in a human body for many billion years (or so he claims). Able of preforming what he calls alchemy, magic, and unbeatable in either the art of the blade or gun. A genius of every kind, he joined the military when he was just eight as part of a secret "super-soldier" project of the United States Airforce. By the time he had turned eleven, he had already made the rank of a General of The Airforce (Five Stars). Trace is the president and CEO of GunCo Industries (also known as Ashikawa Industries), and is significantly the richest man in the world (by many trillion dollars), as his company is amongst the top five of almost any section of the world market. He has invented many weapons and technologies though impossible and is also an avid phylanthroper, having donated several hundred billions to the unfortunate from his own fortune. The rest of it, however, went towards building OZ (the Order of Zarathustra), his personal army which even has its own small navy and airforce. The most notable thing about race is that he has never lost any military skirmish, and President Kamui (who has accomplished the same thing) claims that they are equals (which is makes him a considerable threat since Kamui is known as the finest, aside from Lionel, Military leader in all of US History). Trace's lifetimes are usually filled with "privelege," money, power, women, position, and everything else that most men want. Ironically enough, he doesn't want any of them (in fact he HATES all of them) he lives miserably, always claiming to search for a woman named Subaru, the sole "owner" and "master" of him and his soul.

According to Gareth, it is not odd to see Trace cry in his own room. This is mainly due to his past lives and the "Curse Mark." The Curse Mark, a mystery to even Trace, is slowly eating away his body and soul; devouring them both at an EXTREMELY accelerated rate. Then there is his body. Trace claims that whenever a sentient being dies, no matter where in the universe, he feels it, something even the gods he lived amongst did not exhibit. Having taking several trillion lives in his billions of years of existence, the pain never leaves and comes back to haunt him; it is both physical and emotional. Also, he has been at the site of many wars and having lost his "master" several times an uncountable number of times, he is also plagued by this constantly. Trace is, and has always been handsome. His features rarely change from life-to-life. He's not too tall, has jet black hair, that is oddly complemented by his relatively light skin and aquamarine-blue eyes.

Is also known very well for his position on countries, and war. Trace despises war and politics. About war he says that it is all a sham, "people slaughtering each other for no particular reason just so that politicians can scratch up a treaty that will take about as long as it takes the ink to dry." Also about war he says, "War is just a waste of time and good people. Everyone claims 'that the enemy is evil' what a lie! In reality, there is no such thing as an evil enemy, enemies depend only on the era, and are as mercurial as sulfur. One day your best friend will try to kill you and your worst enemy will take the bullet for you. Enemies of a country depend not on the people but on the times and whichever side benefits the bastard politicians who run that country...." (there is a lot more).

Trace has no known parents and he has influence all over the world, including in Russia, Japan, and China; three of the four world-powers. He organized and ran the AG, of which almost all surviving members defected with him. He personally trained Subaru, saying she reminded (in every way and form) him of his old compatriot and lover (the only woman he'd ever loved), Rin. Subaru was trained so well that outside of Trace and Kamui, it is said no one can defeat her when she is serious (although she rarely shows this side). Trace is madly obsessed with the safety of all his friends, especially Subaru. Trace is also marked by his strong desire to "finally die." Trace wants three things: for his one and only lover to live happily and eternally; to destroy the tyrannous gods; and to die a death from which he will not wake up as he has every other time. At first he was determined to use OZ to make humanity pay for his suffering as well but Subaru changed his mind as always. Trace says that his plan will not only kill the gods but him as well, as they share the a lot of the same genes.

Trace hated Kamui more than any other person, although his position is constantly changing. In the end, however, Trace says Kamui is one of the purest persons to have ever lived: "he doesn't lie, doesn't take a life without need, and is pure in most ways. Trace however, is still at odds at the man for reasons unknown to anyone except (allegedly) Subaru. He also constantly states that he is, unlike Kamui, the evilest man to have ever existed. He constantly brings up that he needs to rid history of him and his "sins." The "sins" are unknown to EVERYONE and although everyone has tried, no one can figure out his source of self-contempt. Trace is almost impossible to insult although just one insult from Subaru will usually leave him reeling. His best friend is named Gareth Gold. He is also said to have dated, loved, and conceived a child with Sabina in a past lifetime. His daughter is named Rose, and both he and Sabina stated that they had had many more children although they had all "ended up dead" by the 1950s-the last child was said to have born in 1815.

Trace's old lover, Rin, died giving birth to his son Aoshi. Trace says Aoshi died, but in fact he is alive and well, although he avoids contact with his son "to keep him safe." Rin died at the age of fourteen after a two-year long pregnancy, Trace stated that it had all been "to give her a life that she wouldn't have had to be ashamed of, a life where she no longer had to run." Trace is the first in line for the Shambalan throne, as well as the ONLY successor to the Sham throne. Also, Aoshi and Rose are both eligible for the throne, but refuse to take it. Aoshi knowns about his father but their relationship is strained because of Trace's reluctance to even talk to him.

Trace also states that almost 75% of the important figures in history have been him.

I suspect that in order to deflect a supersonic anti-ship missile in a space of a few centimetres you'd need a magnetic field several times stronger than that of the Earth. Probably many times stronger. That's a truly ridiculous amount of energy needed, and magnetism is an astonishingly weak force. Not to mention it rather relies on the incoming projectile being magnetised with the correct polarity to start with in order to be effective. And it will attract the rest of the ship, which I assume is metal too. And destroy it if the field really is that strong. There's a lot more ship than missile after all. And you'd have to generate the power of several cities just to energise the electromagnets. And so on...

Actually, I took this all into account. First of all, the shield covers the ship several yards across. Second of all, only the surface part of the plate has the electromagnet. The magnet itself will deflect any diamagnetic metal. Also, the ships armor is actually capable of firing a "magnet gun" to force the charge onto any metal and then stop it. Also, not the whole ship is plated, only certain parts of it allowing for more-or-less 360 degree cover. The armor is not all one piece, but millions of tinier plates that are each individually attached to a power source. Also, by turning off the power to one plate and increasing the power to another one (which is all done by computer) it can make a "hole" in the shield. Also, the "magnet guns" are attached to the roof and are a "direct fire" weapon. I'm sure I left plenty of "holes" so please ask for them to be filled in.

Short bio on countries. Places:

Quote

NUSSR (Neo USSR)- The New Soviet Union; reformed after the end of the Third World War; which Russia neither lost nor won, the people, however, had by then lost faith in their "Republic" and wished for the days of their glorious Soviet Union. Known for being VERY liberal for a Communist country. Third most powerful country in the world. Run by Svetlanna's father, a direct descendant of the Alexi Romanov.

Quote

Empire of Japan: The Empire of Japan; run in half by the emperor and in half by the DIET. Controls all of modern Japan and a lot of Pacific Islands (Allied with the Allies during WWII). 2nd most powerful country in the world. Is also 2nd most advanced country in the world. Japan was granted sanction to join GDI (make its own GDI branch) in 2011, has authority to send the first ship up in 2014. Established in the early 1200s by Emperor Kamui Ashikawa (a past form of Trace) and Empress Subaru Hiwatari (Elizabeth I of England). Was first Asian country to ally with England, forming first Euro-Asia Alliance.

Quote

People's Republic of China: Communist China, includes most of modern India. Run by both Communists and Republicans. 4th most powerful country in the world; almost exclusively because it refuses to accept new technology (such as Railguns and Fusion Power- uses Fission). Could rank as third easily.
