Here are 8 screenshots I took from the video, which shows the battlemenu, where you can select a mission and equip your force commanders:
When raising stats like "Energy" or "Health", new abilities become available, such as "Taunt" which will force enemies to attack the commander, instead of weaker troups:

Whoopee. It's a box.
Frankly the only word that comes to mind is 'hype'.

as for the fingers....actually the 5th finger is the trigger one which is quite hidden (if you look at the marine to the left you can see his trigger finger but not the thumb)

The only thing hidden behind the rifle is his palm. But only 3 fingers and 1 thumb, eh? Maybe in the future, the pinky is no longer useful.

Yeah, though the Imperial Guard, Necrons, and Sisters of Battle did receive cover time as well (but the Space Marines are always first). Ironic you mentioned the "bloody" Marines, as I'm sure many of us are aware, the marines on the cover are the Blood Ravens, which are technically a sub-chapter of the Blood Angels. The Space Marines are, however, the symbol of Warhammer 40k, despite the fact that there are other races in the game.

His pointer finger is on the other side. Marines do have 4 fingers + a thumb. Space Marines are genetically enhanced "super humans", so the digits on the hand are unchanged as far as quantity goes.
As for the "rifle", though it's large enough to be considered a rifle by a normal human (by today's standards), that is in fact a bolt-pistol. If it were a rifle, the Marine would be holding it with two hands.

No love lost here I see. However, I must disagree with you. Tyranids have not been in the DoW series, nor any expansion packs since the franchise's inception. Won't you at least try those numerous and annoying insects before you condemn them to sub Chaos standards? What's to say that the fallen legions of Chaos won't be added in an expansion pack?

but look at the hand with the melee weapon, he has 3 fingers and a thumb, and there is no space for a fourth finger
and the marine of the left you can see how he has only 3 visisble fingers
