ARRRGH so many criticisms i can point out being an ex-competition drill cadet. The main one being the unsynchronised movements of the arm and legs and of course the muddle timing of flow movements as a body of troop.
It sounds like SMIT to me!

I question the general assumption that i am inherently deficient in the area of grammar and sentence structure

The sunny parts are too clean, lacking atmosphere, the other parts are made of win though.
