That first Apple pic shows the reasons most people are afraid of PCs. They don't understand them and therefore like how Apple's PCs are easy to use and configure as well as not being overwhelmed by choice (because too much choice leads to a lack of productivity).

A fair bunch of people also use Macs because "it's not Windows". As in, on the other side of the spectrum. Those savvy enough to know Windows is frankly horrible (Windows 7 has certainly been a big improvement, I won't deny them that, but OSX is what changed Apple forever.
