Well as this doesn't actually qualify as forum art I thought I'd show this off here. I have been meaning to get into vector art for some time as it's always intrigued me and I have been able to start something which I'd like you opinions on....
Basic start
Just workin on the wheels now, not fun
This is the real image
It's gonna take me a helluva a while to get to the end of it, but should be fun to do. Have sent about 10 hours on it now. It will end up as a wall paper eventually.
Thoughts?

Well for starters, I could instantly recognize the car, so there's a plus!
Imo, it looks terrific. The shine on the car is spot on, how'd you do that?

Thnx man. I thought it would be easier to start with an iconic car at the least.
The shine is easy, it's just a white to transparent gradient done in the right way, using a pen tooled marque for the area guide.
It's gonna take a lot more work with gradients to get it looking realistically lit, but hopefully it'll turn out nicely.
If anyone out there would like something made up in this style as a desktop wallpaper let me know now and I might start working on it for ya.

Yeah I know the reference image has the shine, but do you just fill in white there or something? (Edit: Answered above)

Good job on the car Wizard. Vectoring is hard, but can be so nice
