France's tactical nuclear missile is the ASMP-A. It's carried on a Rafale. Guess where all the Rafales are?
...oh, that's right, under a pile of rubble. Sorry about the mess, we should train our Backfire pilots to be more courteous next time. That way the PAK FAs will have something for lunch.
As for the strategic deterrent, guess who has the world's only operational BMD system? (It's Moscow, by the way.)

You see the downside to this is that with the ECA having the most powerful of all artillery systems under the sun.... well, those forces of yours are goaing to be pummeled back to the stone age. And for every backfire you have.. we have two goalkeepers.

And for every Backfire, we have three missiles! I like the odds.

Reporter: The Joint Chiefs of Staff, military pundits, and probably everyone, knows that if the Soviets Russian Federation manages to defeat the ECA, it may very well lead the path to invasion of the United States of America. As we speak, Carrier Battlegroups are mobilizing in the Pacific and Atlantic oceans, with their Battleships. The DEFCON level is still 5, but Missile Shields are in place, and defenses are being built on the coasts of the United States. There is currently no sign of the United States Air Force, after succeeding the previous Air Force General, General Malcom "Ace" Granger. Without the skies clear of enemy aircraft, things may very well be bad if the invasion begins.

Reporter: ...under the command of Commander JB |8, the European Continential Army's Rafales were under piles debris with no hopes of salvaging them. Meanwhile the Chinese are in preparation of their Nuclear missiles, Weapons of Mass Destruction, to counter any Red threats, however the irony is that they are the reds. The US are sending transports to Japan, where they're reinforcing their defenses against the Wild Bear of Russia. Hopefully with their location and the rumoured Kamikaze any amphibious invasion will be thwarted and with the deployment of the updated Comanches, the war might change. Our only hope is that the Empire of the Rising Sun's defenses will prevent invasion, and hopefully they'll scout out the weaknesses in the Russian beaches, shores, coasts, anywhere near the sea. There have been reports of sneaky spetznaz but our even sneakier Pathfinders managed to eliminate at least a few thousand of them. Right now, these...things in gas masks carrying rocket-launching rifles that seem to devastate anything they come across, and is the reason why so many Russians have not defected yet. The fact that it's an automatic rifle using a spring-feed clip system makes playing Russian roulette kinda difficult with an AN-94 (or at least makes it renamed to 'very messy suicide'). And how do you plan to 'blast out of the sky' the oh-so-sneaky PAK FA without any fighters of your own, hmm?
Also... EotRS? In RISE OF THE REDS?

Good evening, generals, this is Marshal Tang speaking.

As of the latest nintels, the European Continential Union has formed an official alliance with the United States of America and the Empire of the Rising Sun against the Russian Federation, leading to a full scale war.

The ECU has lost much of its territories: all the provinces near the Russian Iron Curtain are lost to the Russian Red Army as of 0900 Beijing Time. The Russians have commenced several barrage of Automated Grand Artillery System - nicknamed "Tremor" on ECU commercial, political and military targets, and in a 20 kilometre radius of the target, all human activities have been ceased. The European Continential Army and European Continential Air Force are resisting fiercely towards the Russians, but with basically no heavy equipment left, their hope of successing is grimly dim.

The United States Military Force are on DEFCON-2. Their global Advanced Particle Accelerator Pinpoint Strike System, "Particle Cannon", are being activated just as we speak at the US Mainland, Juneau Naval Base, Pearl Harbour Naval Base, Guam AFB, Incirlik AFB, Tel Aviv Army Base, Andersen AFB, Cheong Ju AFB, Pusan Army Base and Tokyo Harbour Naval Base. The United States Air Force are not doing much, but our guess is that they are up to something. The United States SDI is on full alert, and the country is at complete war status.

The Empire of the Rising Sun is preparing its own arsenal as well. The Imperial Navy has already departed from Tokyo Harbour Naval Base, Hiroshima Naval Base, Nagasaki Naval Base and Hokkaido Naval Base, all fleets consisting of at least 20 "Naginata" Torpedo Cruiser, 15 US-Japan "Hydrofoil" Advanced Anti Air Artillery Vessel, and 5 "Shogun" Heavy Battleship. The Imperial Air Force is reinforcing homeland defence, while the Imperial Army has ordered a general conscription, and the Japanese war factories are at 150% working status.

The Russian Red Army has gained half of Western Europe, and is pushing forward swiftly, cutting through ECA like knife through tofu. Their "Tremor" AGAS at Vladivostok Naval Base, Leningrad Navy Base, Moscow Army Base, Black Sea Naval Base, Serbia AGAS Unicomplex, St. Petersberg AFB, Stalingrad AFB/Army Base, and other various bases in the barren lands of Siberia. The Russian Air Force are on 24 hour duty status, and at least 60 Backfire bombers have unleashed 180 missiles on ECA/ECAF bases at Cardiff, Cambridge, Dublin, Berlin, Frankfurt, Nuremberg, Ramstein, Stuttgart, Rome, Vinci, Sicily Island, and much more. The European production facilities are under 24-7 attack from the Russian Strategic Missile Corp, the Russian Red Air Force, and Russian Spetsnaz Special Ops.

The Chairman has ordered that we cannot let our European and American friends left unprotected. We are entering a full-scale war with the Russian Federation.

Second Artillery Corps: Immediately start to distribute Nuclearization System Suits to the Armour Corps, the Portable Combat ChemSuits to the Infantry Corps, arm the Hong-8s and Hong-9s with medium yield fusion payloads, arm the Nuclear Missile Bases, prepare to arm the Artillery Corps with neutron and nuclear shells, and open all Fallout Shelters for the public.

Armour Corps: Mobilize at least 6 divisions in 24 hours, raise the production line level to Full-Scale War, intensify trainings in all cadet academies, upgrade the tanks with Nuclearization System Suits, cannon-shot ATGMs, and be prepared for the Russian Red Air Force.

Infantry Corps: Mobilize at least 8 motorized divisions in 36 hours, prepare to cooperate with the Armour Corps, start a general conscription, fortify all major cities and all bases, and accelerate firearms production.

Artillery Corps: Distribute Napalm shells and HESH shells, prepare to receive neutron and nuclear shells, and arm the gunships and helicopters.

PLAF: Prepare to receive medium yield fusion payloads from the SAC, arm the MiG fighters, bombers, Q7 attackers, JH-7 attackers, Hong-8s and Hong-9s, reinforce AA defence and base perimeter defence, and commence bombing against any Russian military and political targets near the Sino-Russian border.

We are going to the Third World War, comrades, may Marshal Zhu, Marshal Liu and Marshal Ye's spirits bless us.

EDIT: DEFCON-2 it is.

Just to nitpick here, but DEFCON 5 is the lowest possible defense condition. It indicates completely and utterly certain peace. More realistically, the US would probably be at DEFCON 2 in such a situation, perhaps 1.

That's the inaccuracy I'd be going after. At DEFCON 5, US forces aren't on any alert whatsoever. At the very least, they'd be at 3. Since Air Force controls the missiles, and above 3, Air Force has to be ready to fight within 15 minute's notice...yeah.

Japan's constitution is specifically designed to prevent even the slightest possibility about someone in power even thinking about adding the epithet Empire to their name. An imperial mentality is the antithesis of the current Japanese one in any form of anything trying to relate to reality.
Actually that's probably a bit serious for SYD, but whatever.
