I wrote this for fun, but it is only chapter one so far.

1. Anti-Chinese revenge
It was in the mid of August 2013. It was one of those days you will never forget - special days you will remember about until you grow old and die. The sun burned hot on my skin, and even if I was wearing lightly colored clothes, it still was difficult to breathe. My men, freshly recruited members of the Global Liberation Army, drove from our home city in Sudan to a hidden base in the mountains. It was deep in the mountain range; far away from the radar stations the USA had erected in the late months due to the fact some of the bravest soldiers managed it to kill their beloved president. The USA was panicky thrown into chaos, but soon after the assassination the US military set a new man in charge. It was war - war with us and the eastern dragon China. As expected, the new president was a mere puppet, since just 2 months after this, the military engaged in more action in several countries - Iran, Iraq, Sudan and many others. Europe was filled with American troops and bases too. Actions of demo squads led by General Juhziz destroyed several embassies and only them without giving reasons to our enemies. We knew why - to ‘shock and awe’ any- and everyone opposing the GLA, and to show, we can strike anywhere, anytime. The European armies were easy to trick as well.

However, deeply sunken in these thoughts, I and my freshly recruited rebels continued driving in the armored buses stolen from the local bus storage and soon we reached the hidden base. 'Hey Achmir, Achmir, wake up!’ said one of the newbie’s to me. 'What is it, Morad?’ I asked back. 'We arrived at the base.' I stood up, took my PKM and the ammo around my body, to get off the bus. The stone-made road was heated by the sun, and it was difficult to walk on it, even for me. 'When I remember how I started here 2 years ago...' I though and looked at the tents and tunnel entrances. From a far location I heard shoots of AK-47 and AK-74, typical weapons for the Rebels. I got a PKM recently, and killed on one day 15 American and 9 Chinese soldiers without getting wounded. The Rebels started unloading the captured supplies from the buses, and one another took them to the underground network. 'Be careful with the medic stuff, it is important for our brothers attacking from the underground.’ said one of the Rebels to his friends. Morad looked a little around. He was one of the tallest of the new group which I was supposed to lead, train and bring to victory. With some force, if needed. Some workers, who just erected a new depot for the local arms dealer, Muchum, came after work to help unloading the left supplies. They did this, however, to get more food and water for themselves. Most of them are forced laborers, and some do not even have good shoes. Still, they are indeed useful.

After the last piles were brought to the depot in the tunnel system, I called my men together. The local commander, Adaly, a man some inches bigger than myself, came to see them personally. It is not common to do so, since the less information the younger ones have, the saver it is in case they get captured by CIA or others. However, commander Adaly prefers to personally see every new man he has probably to work with. I told him everyone’s names and how far they ever used weapons or had other training. He soon left me and the newbie’s, and we started some shoot practicing. Everyone grabbed an AK from the depot, got some ammunition and followed me. In one of the longer tents were practice targets and a self-made training track to walk, with some difficulties of course. Before anyone was allowed to even stick his ammo in the rifle, they had to solve it 2 times, one time without the weapon and the second time with rifle, ammo and some supplies, as well as 5kg metal for extra hardness. Morad started and he showed promise, since he was very fast. For reference, I now still need 1:12 min for the whole thing, and Morad did it in under 2:00 min. The other time, he needed 2:46. Not bad for a beginner, and since he was after all the fastest, he was the first one allowed to practice shooting. I showed him how to do it right, since many just do not listen and break their shoulders from the recoil if the rifle is in the wrong position. He charged and fired. For his first salvo, he hit 7/10 targets quite well. The others were commonly by 5/10, which is not bad, because some never used a weapon before.

After the small practice, we went to lunch, since it was after noon, and everyone knows, without water and food, you die faster than your enemy. Commander Adaly was not around, because he probably had some stuff to do. We talked a bit but then heard a dumb sound of a vehicle: it was a technical, van version, which stopped right in front of the lunch tent. I went out to see what happened, and the MG gunner told me everything: some of our brave men went into a patrol of Chinese infidels and were severely wounded. 2 men sacrificed themselves so the others were brought into the technical to be brought here. 1 died during the drive, 4 others needed medical aiding. 'Damn those Chinese!’ I spit out in anger, because we lost some very experienced men out there. I ran into the tent and commanded my group of new rebels to get ready. No one understood the sudden change of my mood, but I did not care! I wanted to let the Chinese people see their own soldiers in blood.

The wounded soldiers were brought into a medic tent, and whilst we got ready, the MG gunner changed position into the car. The driver and he got some food and water from me, and soon a second technical drove to us. 'This comes just as like I had ordered it.’ I said and ordered everyone to fill the seats. I got next to the other driver and took out a map: the location of a small Chinese post was not that far away, and it would be enough to anger and confuse them. I made up a save route. In case of needed help, ambushes of rebels and RPG troopers were set everywhere and especially along the chosen path, so we were save. I commanded the start, and soon the technical drove with full speed along the road, followed by the van. Like a half hour later we saw the Chinese post a little away. Two nuclear power plants were erected, along with a bunker and a Gatling cannon. Some Red Guards patrolled along the sides, and a single Battlemaster stood around, probably under maintenance and thus unmanned. 'We must get the tank and then we can destroy the Gatling tower'. The jeep I was in was salvaged and luckily had a rocket launcher on top. I got out and took a save position, then we fired a single rocket directly into the tower. Just a second later in got activated and a shrill siren noised in the air mentioning we were around.

The 3 Red Guards stood still to look where we were, but we hid behind a dune. The van was behind a big tree and only awaited my sign to send the men out - a good real-life practice for the newbie’s. I was aware one or two of them could die, but it was no problem, because the survivors would learn how important it is to watch and not to hurry, else you get your head shot away before you know why. Patiently, I waited until one of the Red Guards came to my location, and before he knew what happened, I took my knife and slid it trough his throat. He broke down without any sound.

I then waited for the other Red Guards, because they probably would not wait too long. As expected, one went to the bushy tree the van was behind, but it was so big the van was not visible. Morad, who was in the jeep, was calm as I saw him through the window. The Red Guard reached the tree, but since the van had a GLA untypical painting (it was not repainted to sand, so it looked civilian), he came near it and looked around. Too late he recognized the gunner on top - what an idiot - and was shot down before crying 'GLA' or something.

The last one got panicked, because no one was reporting, and ran to the Battlemaster. It was indeed unmanned, since the house colors were turned to white instead of red like on the power plants. However, he went inside and activated the tank. Sh**! The house colors illuminated in red and the turret turned around. Then he fired a shell, probably left before in case of an attack, next to my position. My heart almost stopped beating when I saw he managed to hit the rocket launcher. The gunner was able to spring down to earth, but the launcher was ripped right from the jeep. Luckily, this was the only shell fired, because the tank either had no autoloader or ran out of ammo. The Gatling tower however activated again and started raining bullets at the dune I was behind.

I jumped into the jeep taking the former gunner with me and we drove away as fast as possible. In the near was a tall building, which I ran into, followed by Morad and the gunner who took the Red Guards Bolt Action Rifle before we drove. Inside the building were some civilians, but they were ordered by me to either leave or die in the name of the cause - they did the former. On the roof we took some platting and stuff from the room to fortify our position. The Battlemaster was still there, unmoved, and the Gatling cannon started firing slower, probably because it was running out of ammo as well. The van with my warriors was still behind the tree, somehow undetected. Boban, the gunner, and I awaited a wrong move of the Battlemaster's driver - and he did. Probably in believe we were gone he left the Battlemaster, turning the house colors to white again. I waited until he fully climbed out of it, set my PKM in position and - BANG! Set to one shot, I hit him instantly in the head. He sunk away and blood covered the ground, a nice view indeed for me.

Then I gave a small sign with a mirror reflecting the light to the van, and the warriors left the vehicle. Sneaking around the Gatling cannon undetected, they reached the middle between the power plants. The bunker was probably empty, since no shots came from it, but due to it being closed with magnetic cards, no one could enter either. One of the newbie’s seemed to have worked with computers before, because he stood at the door of the power plant and after some time the house colors began blinking and then changed to green, the sign the doors were open. 5 men went into the plant and shot pretty much everyone down they got.

The other plant was captured as well, and without enough power, the Gatling Cannon shut down completely. Morad, Boban and I ran down the small stairs and went to the Battlemaster without danger. I took the commander seat, Boban the gunner and Morad the driver. I activated the systems, changed the house coloring to green to show our men it was us and loaded some data. Luckily it was an American system copied by the Chinese and thus English. The Battlemaster had indeed some ammo, but a malfunctioning autoloader, and was put to maintenance because of this. I ordered everyone to destroy the systems inside the plants and to set them to overcharge before we got started. Miles away, we heard the explosions of the power plants and yellow dust came up. We were already in front of a tunnel entrance build recently and drove in.

One word: Paragraphs.

I'm not even going to attempt to read this until it's in a legible state.

What he means by put spaces between the paragraphs, is that at the beginning of every paragraph press enter one more time. |8

Like that! 8|

Not bad. I take it English isn't your first language which is why I'm about to explode after reading it. You're writing as a character who's more developed than those around him, but to an extremum of the concept. He is a person in a game with house colours, its an odd style and one I'm not fond of. Storyline is ok but I'd like all characters to have some development. Some time spent in England (or the US) to improve your language would do no end of good.

Other than that, keep writing, and don't be disheartened by what I've said.

As I said, it was after 1:00 AM when I wrote it, so yeah, I know what I mean. Actually, I am not interested in developing people who are just in one scene and then go away or who are just named. I normally develop people step by step, except the main character(s), who are in need to have many things told about them. Also yes, I am from Germany, not the British Islands, and I write pretty formal as you probably have seen in most of my posts. Please tell me what I should add/change/remove and I will do so. Question: Why were you about to explode after reading it? Was it so strange that I added the house color system? Or something else?

English is my first language and when I see it used improperly over a long piece it slowly drives me more and more insane. If you want I can take a copy of your story and return it to you with corrected English.

Sure, why not? I cannot wait to see the differences between a german writer who studied english and a real person from England.
Edit: Please send it me via PM.

Judging from this, I guess Dauth has never ventured into my writing threads or he would've died from a stroke by now. :P

Probably true, but I made more than 10 mistakes alone in the first paragraph. I have to overhaul the whole chapter, before I can even think of making the second one. :duh::P

There will be no USA victory, so much is sure for now 8|:read: I was a GLA member the moment I started their campain in Generals, and if there would be no ECA in ROTR, I would still go with GLA, but that is an other story. Also, I fixed some spelling mistakes in the text. However, I do not know if it is now better or not.

My thing isn't merely just SHW, it's also highly political and backstory rich. :read:
