Have you even played any SAGE games, other than Generals/ZH?
BFME2 has some awesome physics, ofcourse not akin to Half-Life 2 but a major improvement over ZH. Water is also treated differently, and there's a difference between lakes, rivers, oceans, etc.

Like me? Put this in your sig then!

Besides it can be modded, like, straight away if it uses the game engine we're all familiar with

Yep. C&C 3. Tiberium storyline. There's a few scans of the inside as well as the cover floating around the 'net already, although they're blurry and you can't make out much of the text. What you CAN make out, though, is some freaking AMAZING screenshots.
My next computer will be built specifically for this game. I already can't wait.
-EDIT-
Use the above links (particularly C&C Source) to see some scans from the mag (although not very good ones - like taken with a camera rather than a scanner). The earlier shots with all the blue are NOT real. Well, they are, but they were concepts from a loooooooooooooooooooong time ago: pre-Generals stuff.

If it IS from one of the previous C&Cs it's likely either a placeholder or maybe a logo for one of the "Generals" or something.
The story is supposed to be Tiberium Twilight, but until I have the issue itself I can't say much more than that. No idea how the supposed mammoths fit in there. Although if the Mk I type Mammoths come back, I'll be happy. Even in TS they kicked ass - even more ass than the Mk II, IMO.

So, I wonder if this is still C&C3 we're looking at, or just more teaser art. And if it is true, it would explain why the Orca has Generals' USA logo on the tail. And that tank also looks suspiciously similar to Generals' Overlord tank.

Also, from http://en.wikipedia....berian_Twilight:

According to the PC Gamer preview, the story behind this game is that the world has been thrown into chaos due to the spread of Tiberium, and 20% of the Earth's surface is Tiberium-infested and inhospitable (Red Zones). 50% of the Earth is Yellow Zones, or areas that the Tiberium hasn't fully taken hold but is encroaching on the population. The rest of the earth is Blue/Green zones, where it is safe to live and also where the GDI is headquartered. The GDI is trying to prevent the spread of Tiberium and convert the Yellow Zones to Blue Zones (as usual) and NOD is trying to destroy GDI because of the link between Kane and Tiberium.
The game will use the SAGE engine, the same one used in C&C Generals. However, it will be heavily modified, similar to its edits for the Battle for Middle Earth 1 and 2. Live-action scenes will be used, despite their absence from Command & Conquer: Generals. There will be VoIP support in-game, clan support, and various observer/referee modes.
The preview also states that Kane will be returning, but it does not explain his resurrection. Additionally, the preview does not state who is going to play Kane in the live-action sequences.
