The "demonic" (or daemonic) faerie you see in that picture may not be its true form, for we know and have seen from several artists' renderings in anime and other depictions that daemons often take a human form so as not to frighten the intended victim. Once the intended prey has been lulled into a false sense of security (and possibly an area of no escape or put into an incapacitated state), the daemon/demon reveals its true form, the one too hideous and revolting to be shown to the masses outside the confines and deep recesses of Hell.

That is exactly the sense behind the picture, because Nightsky is this type of evil fairy ( =Pixie) who stays in a human alike form, but her true appearance is probably a nightmare.

Those drawings are brilliant general. I like baalzebub the most, the incorporation of his face into the fly is amazingly well done. Stick with the ugly demons as well. Demons should be scary beings of terror that you should go insane just from looking at. Not for example - A succubus.

Truly hellish, nice work. Although it would be worse if they did remember the process. But then couldn't stop themselves drinking from the lake.

So this Leviathan eats a person who was unlucky to fall through the lake hologram right into his lair, but I do not understand the rest. Is the person eaten then forever in his body or is he/she later out of it again in an other form and maybe gets eaten again?

He eats people, reproduces them in his special stomach. He then "discards" then back to the lake where they remember nothing. They try to drink from the lake and the cycle repeats itself.

With every spectacular work of art, do we sink lower into Hell.

No, we come nearer to heaven with every solid art, except we praise demons like Da Ji.
-by all good means, some people are indeed ignorant-
-removed Da Ji from view- :P
@Topic: how many circles has hell? 9?

7 circles of hell IIRC. In correspondence of the 7 sins.

Quote

In Christianity and Islam, Hell is traditionally depicted as fiery and painful, inflicting guilt and suffering.[1] Some other traditions, however, portray Hell as cold and gloomy. Despite the common depictions of Hell as a fire, Dante's Inferno portrays the innermost (9th) circle of Hell as a frozen lake of blood and guilt.[2] Hell is often portrayed as populated with demons, who torment the damned. Many are ruled by a death god, such as Nergal, the Hindu Yama, or the Christian Satan.

Hell has 9 circles, not 7.

Hell? I thought we invaded that place. Nation-building is a pain in the ass, as General has magnificently demonstrated.

He should do some based on Greek mythology.

Sorry, I remembered it after you already answered that I read something about this before and then checked it on wikipedia -> 9 circles. However it would indeed make sense because there are 7 death sins -> 7 circles for sinners but oh well, its 9.
@General: when will the next one come and who is it (if you mind about telling us)?

It's not based of the seven sins, it's based of the 'degree' of the sin (which is contrary to biblical account).

Anyway, this is a topic for the appreciation of General's art.

I said many (?) times his demons are ugly and scary, but just because this is the point, they are awesomely drawn. About Dante: I did not know there was a difference between his writing and the bible version. :P
