Im talking about skins for things like Armor, Tanks, people, horses, etc...

I have so mics of armor that I want to turn into skins, But I dont know where to start :D

I cant use the pics themselves because they are angled a little; off center if you will.

Learn how to unwrap, which judging from your other post you already are, then in the unwrap window go to:
Tools -> render UV template -> and then render it and save it as .png so its transparent, stick in in photoshop and just stay within the lines and put whatever you want in them. Im sure with your PS skills you'll pick it up quickly. Just use alot of refrence picks for whatever ur skinning and use 3ds or w3d viewer to preview your models

edit: oh and very improtant: remember to use dodge + burn for shadows/highlights, it gives the skin alot of depth
great site for free textures: http://www.cgtextures.com/

Eh. think I should have been more specific. lol

I mean, How to make make Skins, from a reference, in photoshop?

Example:
I have this armor pic. Its tilted slightly away from the camera and has a few bright reflections on it. I want to Remake it, In PS with no tilts and no reflections, but keep some or most of the detail.

Now that I think about it, I could vector it. I'd brush it if I had a tab, but i dont =(

You could try unwrapping over it... it would be pretty difficult to make anything good from just sticking it on.
Your best bet is to just remake it

Yes. Thats what I Want to do. Remake it. lol :D
Only problem is I've never remade something like thins in PS before. I've just been making sigs, logos, banners, and photo manipulations for about 5 years.

Anyways, I tapped into the awesome powers of google and found something to try out.
