I only have 1 pair of headphones right now and a pair of IEMs. I am not rich enough to get 10 pairs of headphones where 1 will barely get any use anyway.

Oval driver, 30 years old frame design. Electrostatic driver is easier to maximize their surface area by using oval shaped drivers than circular ones.

STAX tend to last very long without abuse, there are many 30+ years old STAX on sell and very often sought after for quite a bit of money.

If you are getting a T50p, I suggest you don't or get the DT1350 instead. The T50p is really underwhelming,

The source I trust says otherwise, and local price here puts the 1350 about 70% more expensive, will only about 40% improvement.

Oh, if the price is 70% more, don't bother with the DT1350, the improvements are surely not that massive. You might want to also look at ES10 as well, around the same price, size and a great fun to listen to (unless your pricing is different again.)

T50p is $269AU, DT1350 is $449AU and ES10 is $499. If I was spending $500 on a pair of AT's I'd get an open pair for home listening rather than a portable.

Hmm, the pricing is really diffrenent.

The T50p is actually cheap, but the DT1350 and ES10 is very expensive compare to my local price. Seeing that, go with the T50p unless you don't mind wearing something huge, like SRH940, DT770Pro, DT150 (which the DT150 also need an amp).

Found some DT1350 for $350.

I currently use the DT250 for portable, whiich has served me very well but I'd rather retire them to desktop listening and use something a little more portable in its place.
