Not really, someone hosts a lan game, and everyone joins it. The only trouble happens if the game doesn't show up on the list, in which case you have to use the "connect to ip" button.

Ah excellent, I've heard the games very good, and ordered it off Amazon just yesterday.

Looking forward to Thursday, although since I've only played BF2142 I may not be very good.

At one point I was an avid BF2 player, mostly on infantry-only servers, multiple squads per team. Sniper hell
