We had nothing against newbies until EA started advertising. That act just spawned a bunch of noobs that are wrecking the game and thus making the game less enjoyable. Unfortunately that has some side effects on all newbies.
And 99% of newbies from vanilla dont do the first thing before playing, and also the first thing written in caps before downloading the mod, is to read the manual. No mic? Fine thats tolerable. Don't know how the game works? Fine we'll help you a bit, but next time read the manual. Ignore orders? Should be insta banned instead of kicked from the squad. A squad member needs to work together with his squad instead of wandering around.

New question: is there a way you can switch being the passenger, driver or gunner, or you can't switch?

you can switch with the f-buttons (f1-f6 or f8 I think) with f9-f11 or 12 you change the camera.
Btw, on helicopters, to re direct the missile, doubleklick where you want it to go.
From the edge of the carrier on Gulf of Oman you can hit the bases at the beach with the Cobras TV rockets.

Not to necro, but considering making another thread about the same game is relatively useless, I thought I'd post in there.
What are the differences between M95 Barrett, L96A1 (AKA Arctic Warfare Magnum) and M82A1 (the "real" Barrett)?

M95 can shoot through glass in vehicles, for a start. That means you can snipe people out of jets on the runway, or helicopters about to take off.

The only difference between the M95 and M82A1 is that the former is bolt-action while the latter is semi-auto. The L96A1 is chambered in 7.62x51mm, while the other two use .50 cal.
Game-wise, the M95 can shoot through glass, but is less accurate than the L96.

in game M95 is somewhat less accurate at long ranges and cant one shot someone unless its a headshot (L96 can take out someone with a chest shot)
Oh and M95 is for those basecamp situations (or in SF just getting ontop of a rooftop on Ghost Town and shoot everyone that enters the heli xD)

Eh, considering that making another thread about the same game is relatively useless, I think I'd have to necro this.
In SF, how do you use the crossbow and the grappling hook? I was able to launch them, but then I've no idea how they can be used.

IIRC the rope acts as a ladder - you want up to it and keep pressing forwards, and this makes you start climbing.

Well The crossbow is fired at a flat surface like a wall or the ground. Then you "use" the zipline by pressing E. You can pick it up and reposition by pressing G. The hook is thrown up a wall and acts as a ladder, so you have to "use" like any other. Pick it back up with G.

I love the zipline, one of my favorite things in SF
I used to use it all the time, people normally kill you, but its worth it

We had one fun game where we fought in choppers (Hobbesy was my gunner
) but the rest was a mess, we needed at least 20 to play and we had around 6

If we had the numbers that turn up to TF tuesday, it would be awesome. But we didn't. IIRC there were about 4 people playing at a time...

I have it, and am officially useless. If you plan on having another game find me on Steam and I may join for some cannon fodder for you.
