GLA Demo Duster

GLA lacked any air power whatsoever coming into the Crazy War. But now, with the addition of a new Airfield for all GLA, they can start building up their own massive air armadas.

First to take up on this opportunity was General Juhziz, or the Demo General, who armed Crop Dusters with armor plating and four Terrorists, held on the underside of the wings.



Named the Demo Duster, first field tests showed that it was extremely effective at destroying almost anything on the ground. The Terrorists aren't as powerful as normal ones, but they still pack a heavy punch.

Now we can have fun with explosives in even more ways than before.

Note that the GLA Airfield can only hold two aircraft. It also requires an Arms Dealer and $1000 to build.

I need to come up with another way to fling terrorists around. Maybe Terrorists riding cruise missiles, like that Terromahawk some people discovered in the first release, that I forgot to remove.

The airfield looks it need some buff-up, but the duster is AWESOME!

The airfield, if anything, is just a placeholder. I will eventually make a new one, possibly with four slots, but later, as structures take a lot longer than units to make.

The only thing you need to improve about it is making it a bit bigger, with the actual size, it looks like 2 Demo dusters would overlap if they're at the airfield

Heheheh, those terrorists look really neat strapped to the wings . From the action it seems like they function a lot like the Shw bomber MiG, is that right? The explosion also looks like it's actually considerably more powerful than a normal terrorist, the effects seem to belie its power.

It does act like the bomber MiG, as it is a carpet bomber. However, a Demolition General Terrorist does 800 damage, and these drop four of them. That would amount to 3200 damage, and a super unit has only 1750 health. I had to drop the damage caused by the terrorists considerably, so they do 1000 total.

I suggest giving them a wingsuit instead of copying the Terromahawk idea.

Is there a way you could have an upgrade for the Demo Duster to increase the damage slightly? Say something silly, like a more reliable detonator switch? Not enough to kill a super unit, but perhaps 200-300 more points of damage in total.

Hm, I don't know. It wouldn't be nearly as recognizable as something like a Hang Glider is. Of course, that comes after I make the Terror Cannon, the Stinger Site replacement that shoots Terrorists out of a big cannon.

Not sure about a damage upgrade though. Maybe the plane could gain a suicide ability with demolitions, that allows it do do about as much damage as a full volley.
