GLA Demo Double Decker

Inspired by the Bendy Battle Bus, General Juhziz decided to make a triple alliteration variation of the Battle Bus for his own army. This led to the rise of the Demo Double Decker:

(Say that five times fast :D)

Towering twice as high as a normal Battle Bus, the Demo Double Decker features enhanced armor, but that's not the best feature.

On the back of this monstrosity is a demo trap deployer, though it may look like a demo trap tipped scud missile. It actually fires the missile vertically over the target, and then explodes in mid air, releasing the demo trap below. These demo traps are less potent than the original, but they can be deployed in the middle of battle, exactly where you want them to go.

Keep in mind that these amenities come at a price. The Demo Double Decker costs more than a normal Battle Bus, and only has a limited supply of Demo Traps. Once they're gone, they're gone, keeping you from paving the battlefield in stealthy explosives.

Not sure why the render came out kinda dark. Oh well.

Awesomely crazy, as ever.

Limited demo traps ? Why not make the play pay for each one of 'em instead ? :D

That would probably work better, if I can figure it out.

EDIT: That won't work, and due to issues with other stuff, I'm just making it a rechargeable ability every 25 seconds for balance.

Jordan...you're epic. :D Seriously THIS IS AWESOME! I can't wait to load some MDs and make them fire from the top :D

...I do have a question though. If the front window's blocked by metal plating...how'd the driver see?

AWESOME AS EVER, and the Scud-trap is very well thought out, good work!

However, if that Demo-trap lands on a unit/structure and kills it, would the bus gain experience?

Also @ Destiny: If you look careful enough, there's a "line-of-sight". :D

It almost looks like a caravan (aka camper) from the front, but from the back it looks like a proper double decker bus.

I'd like to suggest a taunt for the bus: The Dixie horn from Dukes of Hazard. No real reason for it, other than it would be completely silly. Or, if you'd like to keep things British, and therefore kosher, why not the phrase "Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!"?

Material editor (shortcut key M) -> "Pick Material From Object" (the little eyedropper button) and select the alpha-ed part -> Go to the "Maps" drop down menu -> Drag the "Map#Xnameofalphapart" box from "diffuse colour" to "opacity". Select copy when the little menu comes up -> "Material/ Map Navigator" (The two little blue balls on the right hand side) -> In the menu that pops up select "Opacity: Map #X (nameofalphapart)" -> Scroll down to "Bitmap Parameters" -> Select "Alpha" from the "Mono Channel Output" box -> close the material navigator and render away!

Maps drop down menu? I don't see one. Is it because I have Max 7?

Oh, that isn't a W3D texture, I get it now.

Got a few renders to update now.
