basically a giant tack falls from the sky and kills anything directly under it. Maybe add a dummy weapon with a huge damage radius to bring out the EVA warning: Our base is under attack

this will be crazy. it should insta-kill the units in the center (that pierced trough by the tack)

Seeing that demotivational poster and the line "under a TACK" makes me think this was suggested before, but no matter. The idea still holds water for being crazy...and a little silly.
