I'm against custom maps as everyone doesn't have them, which slows down joining speeds and also puts people off from joining.

I'm with Doc on this one, as much as they are good maps (have played them both), they lower the accessibility of the server, and I'd rather not trade that off vs custom maps.
For there can be no death without life.

I completely agree with the gmoos (for once)
But I find that the number of maps on the server is too small (especially when you use RTV command as you can't nominate your favourite map) , maybe you should reactivate some of the default maps you deleted from the mapcycle ?
Edit : Oh, and add the nominate function I was talking about, that way we won't have to do 2 RTV's in a row when the first one gives only bad maps

Would it be possible to add them to the server but not have them in the usual rotation? I agree that having the custom maps in public games is a very bad idea (due to putting people off etc, see above), but not all the games played on the server are public. These new maps might be very good for TF2 Tuesdays/Saturdays when we have a password on the server.

I disagree, as most custom map servers get high levels of attention anyway, provided they are popular custom maps.
As the two suggested are both popular maps, a lot of people will have them anyway.
I kind of gets boring with the valve maps over and over again.

I guess CTF Convoy is so popular that it could be in the next TF² update anyway
Also Nid : A good part of the maps actually on the mapcycle aren't valve ones, they are community made, and valve just made them kinda "official" (just like the hats, except they didn't credit the original creators with the formers)

I played convoy map couples time and it was fun. But some reason, I got little bit lags with this map.

I know, but maps like Hoodoo, that have become so popular, before and after they were made official, still get boring as they are played over and over again.
When I say valve maps, I mean maps that valve include and that are part of official updates.
