Serves the guy right for doing what he did. How is putting a net over someones head and running away funny? Did he really think that the guy he did it to would find it funny? If you're gonna pull a prank expect those you are pulling it on to not find it funny. Idiots!

I find it retarded that (mostly in Japan) they will set up cameras in changing rooms and then when the victim is semi-naked they'll usually burst in or commence some other silly act, sometimes even resorting to minor physical violence. The victime often ends up in extreme shock or distress and then when it's revealed it was for a televised prank show, oh it's all fun and giggles.

The concept of Schadenfreude only really works in the event of an accident imo. Deliberate acts such as that deserve a round house to the testicles, not just the face, so their kids can remember not to be such dickheads. And yes, from what I've seen, a lot of Japanese productions take this to extremes, as do a lot of Japanese programmes.

However, it seems, or would seem, that, the Japanese people are much more forgiving and accepting of these kind of shenanigans. Free publicity.

Edit: This is not to say that these acts should be mindlessly carried out on random passersby, as the end result can be far from what one expects. I submitted the former as a possible reason.
