I'm considering getting it. I played the beta a bit, but that was when my computer sucked so hard I could barely play it. I downloaded and played the demo yesterday, and had fun with that, but I wondering if the rest of the game is just as good.

So, is it worth the $30?

IMO no. It is about novelty value for me. However I don't play online so I can't speak about its longevity as in that respect. If you don't plan to game online then don't bother. It gets old quite fast.

Wiz sums it up quite nicely imo. Even playing online got pretty stale for me pretty fast - there's no overwhelming reason to keep it beyond a month or so.

Its alright, if you're a multiplayer fan buy it, if you're a single player person buy Uprising and not the original game (unless you want to follow the story)

Ok thanks guys, this is exactly what I wanted to know. And no, I almost never play multiplayer, I'm usually more of a storyline/plot guy.

Thanks again for saving me $30

I would say yes, it is a very good buy in fact. As opposed to many others, I liked the story a lot, and the MP is fun as well.

Got old very fast for me, I played it for less than a week and haven't tried it since.

Its a good buy if the only reason you want it for is to mod it. EA makes fantastic game engines but terribly thought out games.

I personally don't play it 'till Liten wants a co-op or compstomp. Though I do play it when I'm really bored, theorycrafting or just feel like building stuff like they do in campaigns. If you've got money to spare, sure, go ahead. When you can really get into the groove, the game is pretty fun.

Edit: It cost me over S$50 :)

Try to find it at 10-15$. Then it's worth it. So far, the modding initiative for RA3 seems to have been slow. The game's campaigns are reasonably fun and so were the cutscenes. I dunno about the multiplayer. Feels a little too limited and tbh the hybrid land-water mechanic doesn't feel particularly right.

Too many amphibious units, I agree.

It's ironic that when Liten asks you, you're either busy, AFK or something :P

In my opinion, it isn't worth the $30. But get it for cheaper, and sure. Online against random people gets stale incredibly quickly, but with friends it can be fun.
The campaign is novelty at most to be honest.

Those words pretty much sum it up for me, and to a lesser extent, CnC3 as well.
