I have no incentive to buy this until I see gameplay footage, preferably of Multiplayer at that, we all know DICE can atleast make playable MP.

Looks, Good although I'm gonna want to know more about the gameplay before considering to buy it :P

After looking at some MP gameplay...

...this game really looks like a MW2/BC2 Clone. But this doesn't have to be a bad thing

some facts/infos:

-environment is semi-destroyable
-Maps seem to be smaller than BC2 but larger than MW2
-Sniper's rate of fire is as slow as in BC2
-fast melee (like MW2)
-Vehicles
-Predator, Artillery, Airstrike, etc. (Not sure how you get them though)
-Customisation is limited to Weapon Attachments (Rail Slot, Barrel Slot, and Ammo Clip slot). Haven't seen anything abut perks
...

To make it short: BC2 + MW2 = MoH = hopefully win

It does look like a hybrid between the two, set in environments that really look like CoD 4's ones. Visuals look pretty good, especially the scopes. Dunno why every primary seems to be covered in duct tape, though.

However it seems to have everything in it that I hated with a passion in BC2: the game proceeds incredibly chaotically, the average amount of shots to kill is still 25 (watch the guy's ammo counter), there is still no recoil at all, there is still damage disorientation, and unless it is a very laggy game, there still appear to be projectile bullets. God help me if there's damageviewkick or ADS spread.

I'm probably not going to get this game anymore.

Well it is DICE who is making the MP component...so yes it should be a BC2 clone.

I played a few beta matches myself now and I'm dissapointed.

The gunplay is exactly the same as BC2 (the whole engine is) which was one of the weak points of it imho.
And the gamemode kinda sucks: Rather slow BF gameplay in a chaotic deathmatch. I'm not sure about other gamemodes, but (Team)Deathmatch just doesn't work.

Mortar, Airstrike etc. are killstreaks, but they need line of sight so they should be a bit more balanced.
Also the weapons are different per faction (M4 vs AK)

Imho you should only buy this game if you play shooters non-stop and are already tired of MW2 and BC2

Meh, it is as I feared then. Perhaps it was too much to expect of DICE anyway.

I guess I'll have to hope that BO and whatever new projects IW and Respawn come up with aren't inherently fail.

beta is delayed for 360 players, so we are really getting screwed on this

Pav:3d's Photo Pav:3d 01 Aug 2010

^I has 360 beta :duh: and its really fun. Not having to deal with perks or some perks clone is very refreshing. Shotgun rounds seem to have actual range, and not just cease to exist after a few feet.

New trailer

Not a fan of linkin park personally but the visuals are pretty good.

Worst trailer ever.

Directed, shot and cut by the four year old retarded cousin of Michael Bay. Could not be less impressed by that video/sound track (worst choice ever as well btw) if you paid me. Horrible on absolutely every technical level that exists and has just turned my stomach.

there were some good visuals indeed but the bulk of it was pretty terrible :duh: melodramatic, angsty and overly patriotic are words that come to mind.

oh and the music... barf.

Medal Of Honor returns to the front lines, this time in today's war. For the first time in the franchise's 10-year history, Medal Of Honor is leaving the WWII theatre and putting players in war-torn Afghanistan. In 2010, Medal Of Honor, an all-new first-person shooter, will introduce the Tier 1 Operator: a relatively unknown entity directly under the National Command Authority who takes on missions no one else can handle. The development team has been working closely with Tier 1 Operators from the US Special Operations Community since the earliest stages of development to create the most authentic modern war experience. Inspired by real events, Medal Of Honor reveals the mission of today's most elite soldier - his will, his mindset and his uncompromising professionalism.

Sounds more like propaganda than a game to me.

I like Linkin Park, but whoever puts their music in such a trailer is obviously dumb, it doesn't even match the video's theme >_>

I wonder how many copies of it the recruiters will be giving away in Highschools?

To be fair, most FPS games set in a realistic environment are propaganda.

The actual ingame footage in that trailer was cool, I guess. But the live action footage was awful, like Wiz said.

The live action sections were directed by Joseph Hahn, the DJ from Linkin Park :duh:

The live action looks like a dramatic scene from a soap opera, which makes it look incredibly cheesy. One thing I'll say about soap operas is that the music fits the scene. This, on the other hand, completely misses the point and sounds tacked on.

Who are they trying to kid?

New gameplay vid, looks cool. Tho feels almost exactly like BC2

I hate how the gun wobbles like it's jelly and the reload animations also look wooden as if the bare minimum of effort was put into them.

Does this look better than Modern Warfare 2, a game that was released a year before it? I don't think so.

Why would you buy this if you already own Bad Company 2?

Shirou's Photo Shirou 28 Aug 2010

I'd yawn more, but I'm afraid my jawbones would rupture.

It looks bad, it sounds bad, I see mechanics I don't like... but worst of all, even if I DID like BC2 I don't really see any reason to get this game 8| .
