Police in the UK are planning to use unmanned spy drones, controversially deployed in Afghanistan, for the "routine" monitoring of antisocial motorists, protesters, agricultural thieves and fly-tippers, in a significant expansion of covert state surveillance.

My dear Britons, don't you think your government overdo things a little bit? Honestly I say, a government who distrusts citizens in general, is suspicious.

Yes Nip I totally agree. But with the upcoming General Elections in May we shall be dropping kicking the idiotic overbearing Labour government from power for another 20 years and replacing them with the idiotic underbearing Conservatives who won't want to spend the millions per unit on these things for the police to use them. So I am not overly concerned.

Indeed. As much as I dislike the Conservatives, at least they won't be wasting money on this sort of thing.

I have a feeling one of them is going to get a MANPADS to shoot down those UAVs...
