I had no idea where else to put this, so if you mods think this should be in the Technology forum, feel free.

Full reply is not working for me, but this is only in firefox.
In chrome it works fine (which I what I'm using to create this topic, as I can't do that either). It seems that firefox is not treating the full reply as a 'text box' type entity, as I cannot type anything in the box, and I can't even copy the text in the box already (if I'm quoting). The buttons above the box don't seem to be working either, and they look like their counterparts ( the ones which replace the buttons when the mouse is over them) and clicking them does nothing. I can use the drop down menus, but they also do nothing (no code is entered into the box).

Anyone have any ideas? 8|

It's your browser. Afaik nothing has been changed in the forum or on the server. Can't be server side as we have no planned changes in the works.

Well, this really didn't happen until I updated FF.

Perhaps something messed up while it was downloading; I'll try to re-download it at another time.

On another note: mocking my woes by unnecessarily quoting and using full reply is not nice 8(

Ahem, I'm also getting some weird bug on Firefox and google chrome atm : Sometimes, when I post a message, it doesn't validate it, and just sends me back to the forum index, wiping all what I've wrote in the process...

Note : It happened twice when I tried to post this message... ._.
EDIT : Oh and yeah, the problem occurs no matter if I use the fast reply or the full editor.

Correction 'bout my problem : My bad, it didn't happen on Chrome, but it happened on FF with my other PC as well...
Did they release a new update to Mozilla or what ?

I would also suggest disabling any plugins you may have installed, or updated recently.

Well it works well enough from where I'm at, but I'm not using any plugins/whatever. Tbh I generally use Safari now, and I have no problems with that at all.

Code, the full reply is simply the 'Add reply' option at the bottom, not the fast reply that opens in the same page.

I've started to get this error on all websites and forums now, going to wipe FF entirely and reinstall it.

Mike

I've just updated FF and noticed some visual irregularities whilst using the "Reply" function, ie quoting. But it appears to be skin specific as I am not suffering the problem in every variant we have, like right now, using Red.

Edit: Ignore that, I have just realised what those "irregularites" were and they are not connected to this alleged problem in the slightest.

So, I've updated FF to the 3.6.2 version, and no more problems are occurring, I guess the 3.6 version had some problem with the POST requests or something along these lines...

I am using 3.6 and full reply, and the fact that you are seeing this, means that there were no problems. 8|

I just tried the rich text editor in FF, it appears it doesn't work properly anymore. You can select it, but not no cursor appears, and you can only type at the start of the text box, you can't even navigate using arrow keys, or home and end.

*does not agree whilst using 3.6.2*

This does not appear to be a global problem.

Edit 2: actually I sort of do agree. It appears to be skin specific. Try it in the blue, then red. Blue works, red appears to have the issues you report.

Edit 3: blue is the only one it does work in.

Well, I've tried clearing the cache, disabling the only few plugins I have and it's still not working.

Generally, I just use Chrome for the Forum now.

Edit: Oh. Well, that could explain it then I suppose.

Why on earth would it be skin specific?

Edit: I just tried different skins on FF, doesn't seem to fix it.

Tbh I haven't got a clue, but I am, right now, replying using the blue skin and rich text editor.

This does get stranger as the minutes go by. I now can't reply in rich text using add reply but can using fast reply and then more options.

If one out of two people suffer issues with the newest FF I would consider it a global problem tbh (ignoring statistical issues with this conclusion)

Full refresh does cure the issue for me, when it decides to manifest itself.
