That may be a verb. Romanian is a Romance language though, if I'm not mistaken.

Indeed - most can't even remotely pronounce Chyros, let alone angstschreeuw . Dutch has to be one of the coarsest-sounding languages around .

Why in hell did I decide to take this as my foreign language escapes me. Too late stopping now though, second year in, and I need 2-4 years of a foreign language to get into a decent college.

That's because you don't pronounce the H in that word (I find it funny that it applies to the word I picked as well (harmonie))
You can't possibly think that pronouncing it "Le hiver" would sound natural. In fact, it was done to facilitate the pronunciation.

In danish (where Kadavre is plural, Kadaver is singular) we pronounce it: Kah-da...da...oh screw this! Danish is impossible to describe.
