Q-Claw from 007 Agent Under Fire :)

I used to have hours and hours of fun with that thing! It's a bit to ridiculous to be included in a Halo game but just cause 2 is built around it. :D

I just made a thread about Just Cause 2 referencing Agent Under fire.

For me, all I'm seeing is Halo 3 with jetpacks, but i didn't play much of Halo 3 so i could be wrong :P

The assassination thing is a reference to MW and MW2 :P

That looks like a lot of fun

I can see a lot of MW2 influence in it, but it still looks great, I am loving the assassinations.

My to-be housemate is getting it for his 360 next year, and i'm buying a massive HD TV to complement the whole package. I look forward to playing it.

Probably not that massive, 42" I imagine. But I haven't looked around yet, I will nearer the time. Oh and by next year, I mean summer. The end of the university year.

Actually I've been seeing some nicely priced 42" Plasma TVs here. You should find a great one for 400 pounds I guess.

Not a Halo fan, so chances are I won't buy it.

If I heard right, doesn't Halo: Reach take place four days before the events of Halo 1? Each faction must have gone through a major technological renaissance prior to it. Honestly, they have things in there that aren't supposed to exist in the storyline yet...

Yeah, restricting the game to exactly what you played with in Halo 1 is a great idea, I mean who wants new gameplay in a new game? /Sarcasm

Besides the human tech you encounter in Halo 1 comes from the aging Pillar of Autumn. :P

Still, there are a lot of things in Reach that leave me a bit confuzzled.

One, Jackals have been replaced with Skirmishers ...... Why? It's just a few days before Halo 1, I don't see the point.

Two, if I remember correctly, The Spartan Laser was introduced into Halo 3 as a working prototype(?), and that Bungie is time traveling to introduce into Reach.

Jackals are in Reach in addition to skirmishers, and the spartan laser isn't.

Actually, lore wise, the Pillar of Autumn was fully outfitted with the newest technology the UNSC had when Reach was Attacked. Just saying.

It's still a single ship. You can't expect it to have everything.

Also who said all multiplayer weapons are in the campaign?

Nem's Photo Nem 05 Mar 2010

Even if there are inconsistencies (None have been pointed out) Bungie has stated it's story has always been built around gameplay, and as Reach is a game and not a book, That should be appreciated.

Eh, fine I will leave it at that. Tbh, I really don't care about Reach so I won't bother to go on.

In addition to that it was also equipped for a special mission (capturing a prophet), and the only reason it got involved in a regular battle, and ultimately the battle around Alpha Halo was because it hadn't left for it. That's why you only see things like the night-vision-scoped sniper rifle in 1.

There's also the fact that, like with other series, things can change before they give the 'verse a definite tone. Ever notice the difference between the marines between 1 and 2? The marines from 1 were far more rag-tag and Aliens-inspired, while the marines beyond that were more distinctive and professional.

Topics merged, there simply isn't enough interest for 5 Reach threads. :P

As for the Vidoc, it's one of the less impressive they have put out. Chess will be fun, but I would rather see moar multiplayer footage.

IF that was in anyway serious (which it wasn't) I'm not sure it would fit very well.
Not bad for an April Fool.
