Magnum ammo is sadly just such a no brainer. Why does it not come with the no brainer disadvantage of more recoil, as that would make it balanced (and it would especially help with the M60 sniping problem).

Also I find the gunplay in this game quite appealing actually. Aside from the fact that the bullets required to kill someone should be lowered to Xbox 360 standards, I like the feel of the weapons much more than in CoD. Next to this, MW2 weapons feel like toys, due to their super low recoil and faggy sounds.

Red Orchestra weapons are probably the more realistic but people who are more into guns and have played that mod are probably also the ones noticing this. I don't really care for guns besides the way they perform in game. (Once in a blue moon I went on a wiki tour but it can't keep me occupied) and my lack of experience with realistic gunplay is probably in my favor there.

I also don't share the one-sided viewpoint of some of you here. ''It's all M16 laming - The maps are too linear''. Only M16? The only true laming I see in the game is the M60 and as far as Assault weapons are concerned its quite varied. I see lots of XM8, Akaban and M16 and the AUG - M416 arent that rare either. Its not that one sided at all. On the maps, well now we actually have a goal on the map that is not just run around and shoot each other, lineairity is a game disadvantage? I agree that some of the Rush maps, a game mode that is inherently linear, have not been well thought out (Isla Innocentes is the prime example) but there are enough good ones out there to avoid the baddies. Besides if you don't want games to be Linear go play Conquest. Especially White Pass, Laguna Presa & Alta are a blast to play with constantly differing playing fields.

Dice map design has its ups and its downs. I do want some more really open Conquest maps like the ones mentioned above.

White Pass? Not linear? :| Karkand was less linear than White Pass.
