Recently Valve posted about the Highlander Cup on the TF2 blog. It was mentioned today, while playing in the server, that its open to everyone, so I'd thought it might be nice to have a Fallout Studio's Team.
If your wondering why its called the "Highlander Cup" its because Valve introduced a new mode in one of the last patches. This mode only allows one of each class, so that means it's only 9v9 max.

Here is the FAQ about the competition, please read it and if your interested, write a quick application in this thread, you need to state what class you will be playing as and whether or not you have the free time to do some practice games/the competition itself. If we get enough people interested, we will have two teams entered into the competition. If your wondering, il be taking the role of Spy (Hardly a surprise ).

We can only officially sign up in a few weeks, but its better to start these things early on.

Remember if you participate (even if you get knocked out on the first round ) you get a participate medal that you can wear in-game!

I could sign up to be the medic if that's ok, a reserve scout, sniper, demoman or heavy, although I don't have natascha, so yeah

oh and I very likely will have enough time to practice and play

I'd join if I could, but all the games are on a schedule based around European timezones. I likely wouldn't be able to make it.

May as well get in on this, could use some TF2'ing. I would probably prefer to play Sniper or Medic, but if that fails, anything bar Spy or Scout will do me just fine.

I´d sign up as Soldier or Pyro preferbly, although the latter may be good for Ion if he signs up and since my exp (and thus my guns) are so limited I'll take whatever gets left behind.

Oh btw, i forgot to mention, you need to Microphone to participate, otherwise it could be hard working as a team.

I'm going to pick the team when we get enough entries, its not a first come, first serve deal. If we get two people wanting the same class, we will have some sort of 1v1 arena duel.

1v1 won't help, you need to see them working with a team.

It should work, for example, if two people both want to be team sniper then we can have a 1v1 sniper duel to see who is the better sniper is, i feel thats a fair way of giving out the team positions. It doesn't look like were going to have that level of interest anyway.

I'd also imagine that people will be willing to compromise on positions if someone else also wants the position that they want

Well I assume I could be participating, as long as the matches aren't scheduled on business hours...
The classes I could play in preferable order are : Soldier - Demo - Medic - Pyro - Heavy.

Oh yeah, and I've also got myself a microphone, so I'll be able to speak ingame, although my spoken English isn't perfect

PS : Does anyone know if The SetUp are going to create a team as well?

I can sign up as a reserve Heavy if I'm allowed, might play for SetUp as well but I doubt that we would face off against each other.

Why don't you get a Setup group together so we can have some friendly FS vs Setup to get some practice in

Seeing as Soldier and Pyro are already taken, this marks me out, unless there's going to be enough to two teams. If that's the case, then I call dibs on Soldier.
