I refused to watch the end. It was just too bad. I'm gobsmacked, and certainly preparing myself for an early England exit now. Just terrible.

I'm still waiting on an explanation as to why USA did not get that 3rd well deserved goal.

The ref is a complete dick.

There's your reason.

True. Even the officials and announcers couldn't spot a foul. Stupid referees.

It's been a few hours and i still can't believe it.

When we lost to Ghana, everybody just gave up. The joke was on the team, they were packing to go home. The way they played that match was just without spirit.

And then we won. Against Germany. Just before all hope was lost.

We haven't won a game against Germany in the past 37 years! So, whatever happens, whatever you decide to think about the game... It goes down in history!

To our lads I have only one thing to say: we can win. WE CAN WIN! Go and show them our spirit! We're with you, every Serb is with you! TO VICTORY!

НАПРЕД СРБИЈО!

Well with a bit of luck and a good amount of "ref mistakes" any team can win. Your win is pretty much a good example.

This cup is a VERY BAD one. Refs influenced the matches too much, the vuvuzelas being played constantly and very bad matches with both teams bunkering down so theres barely above 5 goal attempts the whole game.

Hmmm, Robben and Elia won't play in this match apparently (injuries). That's a pity, because IMO they're the two most valuable players in our team. I guess we'll have to be dependent on Sneijder to make good shots. That or Van Persie straightens out his act. No doubt Kuyt will get the highest mileage again |8 .

Well, Japan versus Holland is starting up. Hopefully Holland don't falling under the spell of the monotonous drone of the vuvuzelas, which makes bad teams good, good teams bad and the US tie-ing every single one of their games.

It is as I feared. Without Robben or Elia to kick things up, the extremely well-organised and udisciprined defence of Japan is giving them hell. Only one shot on goal for either side in 46 minutes, neither of which was very impressive. One thing to note is that the whole Japanese defence attends any free kick or corner - perhaps finally a chance to break through (especially because one of the Dutch team's strong points is counters). As soon as our team takes it easy for only a little while, the whole Japanese defence is right on top of them though. If they play quicker and if Van Persie would FINALLY stay at his intended position instead of falling back if things aren't going piss easy, I reckon they'd get a lot more chances.

EDIT: YEEEEEAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH Sneijder and his trademark comet balls |8!

That was a pretty nice goal by Sneijder although the goaly could have done better.
Also, England were an embarrassment last night. We never looked like scoring at any point.
Rooney looked disinterested and we seemed to have no urgency what so ever.
Sad times for England |8

Edit - Elia is coming on |8

I wholly agree with you, Rooney even had the ordacity to turn around and say "Nice to see your own fans booing you" If there were any effort that game, any sense of organization and even any goals then I'm pretty sure he wouldn't be booes off the pitch.
It's not just the players fault, it's Fabio as well. He seems to be playing the wrong players in the wrong places, and after half time when I thought it was clear that Algeria's main strategy was to stop us scoring by marking any player they could and intercepting any ball they could, he didn't seem to change the plan. Plyers were passing to ball so much between each other, and wasting time passing back to the defence, and then to James, they could have been pusshing an offence keeping hold of the ball as much as they could.

I had more to say but I have to go.

Yeah, it was a goalie mistake - he threw himself too far.

Only a short time on this time around, doubtlessly because he has a foot injury that has to heal. Originally Van Marwijk said he'd be used only in an emergency this match.

I have to applaud the Japanese on their efforts though. Though there was some serious ball loss due to sloppy passes, their coordination and team efforts were admirable. Side note: their coach Okada has one of the sternest, most immovable faces I have ever seen |8 .

They will be lucky if they can keep the point they are currently going to get.
Another red card will likely spoil their day.

I hope Ghana takes the match. It would really put the pressure on the Germans.

Whatever the outcome, Ghana is terribly outmatched. Even if the Aussies lose, they were the better players with one man less. Despite that however, they are doing extremely well at the moment.

Well deserved point for the Aussies.
It would be good if England could somehow meet them in the next round.

Way to exxagerate. Every world cup has its bad ref matches. Now that there are a couple doesn't mean you should go shouting all is apocalypse.

Vuvuzela's, well the Africans at least like them. I'm not in the stadium so I don't really care.

And I'm going for Ghana to reach the second round if only for the reason that they are likely to be the only African Country in the last sixteen, next to perhaps Ivory Coast if they manage to survive their deadly group.

Cameroon vs Denmark was one of the best games i've seen.
Some great attacking play coupled with some mistakes made for a very exciting game.
Shame about Cameroon going out though.
