I am expecting a fun match from Portugal today
Ivory Coast are gonna be a formidable adversary. And Brazil vs DPRK should be jokes.

Super awesome, New Zealand came through as I knew they would!
Though I'm actually supposed to be studying big time now, I'm not gonna skip out on Portugal and Brazil though

NZ really deserved their point. Slovakia were really poor for long periods.
Portugal aren't looking too great right now either.

Ronaldo should be sent off, he's always such a huge pussy and a complete dickhead. The Ivories (?) are doing pretty well btw.
Match is gonna get physical though.

I hope they put Drogba on in the second half. It should help give a bit more life to Ivory Coasts game.

The game didn't end as i hoped it would.
Ivory Coast looked a lot better than Portugal but it was massively exciting.
Ronaldo once again shows me the reasons why i hate him.

Wow, got to go watch some World Cup with a bunch of friends at a place with a 50ft screen. It poured and the two games weren't even that good. Portugal vs Ivory Coast was a heated battle (they tore up the field, looks like a battleground) but neither team scored.
Well, at least I get to watch Brazil destroy the North Koreans in the comfort of my own home.

Well all I can say is bring on the thrashing of the Koreans later. Or a surprise upset would go down quite nicely with me too.
Btw, is it just me or are there LOADS of draws coming out of here atm?

Well, Brazil finally scored 56 min, 1:0 against the North Koreans.
You know what surprised me the most besides the North having a pretty amazing defense? The sportsmanship. The North Koreans seems to never fake falling over, never push anyone, and they generally help up the opposing team. I don't see that very often in teams these days. Though I guess it shouldn't surprise me since the come from a countries where the rules are strict and the consequences severe.
Edit: another point for Brazil. A definitely win for Brazil at this point, but not the thrashing I expected.
EDIT:
HOLY FUCKING SHIT, DPRK SCORED.
Wow

Bloody hell, couldn't the Koreans have not scored at the last minute? Costs me three points >.> .

Brazils individual quality won them the game. After maicons goal, the North Koreans knew they didn't have much to go for anymore.
However the struggle of the brazil team promises something for the next games. I think Portugal and Ivory Coast will have a hard time doing this. This truly is the group of death.

Hmm yes. Didn't watch the game, though I expected much more. I guess Brazil could have fared better and that the DPRK are better than expected.

DPRK seemed to be much better than everyone thought before the tournament.
Sadly i only watched the first half so i missed all the goals but i was impressed by what i saw from Korea.
Also, the Chile vs. Honduras game is surprisingly good.

I have to study hard but I'm gonna have the game running in the background. Don't wanna miss Spain

Also, full points for a correct 1-0 Chile
. In fact I'm tied for first place now

I certainly didn't predict that.
They bunkered in pretty hard but to be fair, spain didn't look massively threatening in the first half.
Navas and Torres helped them but Switzerland defended well.

Switzerland were very well-disciplined and organised, very efficient in the defence (loved Pearce's description of "that Swiss vault"
) and of course their offence (what few chances they got were all played out very well - Spain got off lucky with 1-0, I could swear the one that hit the post would become a goal). A monumental win for the Swiss here.

Woo, Swiss win.
Pretty happy about that. If only I put money on that, the return would've been huge.

I'm wishing I had too. What makes me feel better is the amount of money everyone I know is losing, mind

Not a great game, but great perseverance from the Swiss. Spain don't look that sharp, especially Torres. However, should Germany win the world cup I will be utterly devastated.

Well, I guess kudos to the Swiss. I certainly like whenever an 'underdog' team comes out on top.
Well, it looks like the only team that's clearly kicking ass is Germany, with a surprisingly mediocre performances from Brazil, Portugal, and Spain.
Edit: Wow, South Africa's goalie got red card'd! When's the last time that's happened?
Heh, well, unsurprisingly, even with the replacement goalie, Uruguay got a point from the resulting shot.
