Android doesn't know how to use its hardware properly and WinPhone7's interface looks really confusing to me.

AJ had no influence in this post, but, I believe I'm going to be sticking with the iPhone from here on out. It is incredibly simple to operate and is very aesthetically pleasing to my eye. Plus, it comes with a cable that pulls both sync and charging duty.

many phones in 2009 use microUSB which does exactly what you describe. also it seems to be the new industry standard being used by Nokia, RIM, HTC, Samsung, Motorola, LG, and countless others. But yes iOS is simple to use but imo I'm tired of its aesthetic and thats why WP7 appeals to me.

Actually the iPhone doesn't do exactly what it says on the tin. It's terrible for email, well business use email actually. The battery life is 1 day if you are using it for that, which for a business tool means you have to switch back to RIM, which is terrible for attachments.

2 years ago, Windows Mobile was great for both email AND attachments. I somehow expect to see some of that greatness in WP7 at least on the email side.

I have a bad feeling they're going to ruin it by trying too hard to push everyone into using Hotmail and almost ignoring Exchange users.

@Wiz yeah it is shoddy for business work from what I hear, but honestly, how many businessmen own an iPhone as their work phone? Sadly, Blackberry does still exist for a reason :P Plus, the iPhone is trying to up it's game in the Exchange Server/email areas a little (at least they're trying)

Well, call me a fanboy but I'm now on the waiting list for an iPhone 4 on a plan with my carrier :duh:

Also had the chance to try one out at an Apple Store: The new design is REALLY nice, it feels very robust. Camera and 720p video recording are both damn solid. It doesn't feel a whole lot more faster than the 3GS (Not that the 3GS was too slow to begin with), and the higher res screen looks REALLY nice. Pretty keen to drop my current phone, but going by the rate they've been selling over here I might be waiting a while.

Shame you used Android on those piss weak ARM11 chipsets that HTC kept using for the longest time. Modern smartphones shouldn't run on anything less than a Cortex A8 chip. My friend's HTC Desire updated to Froyo just now and well it certainly is a noticeable difference.

In the case of the Hero it's not even just the lacking hardware: There's a lot of software niggles in there as well. To put it plainly, I'd have to describe my Hero experience as "Nothing works as well as it should".

Tonight someone asked me for directions as I was coming home, and maps wouldn't even lock onto me for some reason... After trying 2-3 times, someone in a business suit appeared out of nowhere with an iPhone and gave him said directions.

It was kind of surreal, it turns into a candid iPhone TV ad, then I wouldn't be surprised.

Willing to put up with the reception issue for all the other fancy gadgets and gizmos the 4G offers? I had heard Apple's short term "fix" was to give everyone a case for the phone.

Reports from Aus users so far is that it's a non-issue: It's there and makes a great party trick, but you don't notice it in everyday use nor does it drop your calls.

Ok so, getting a little annoyed here. My carrier seems to have NO stock of the iP4 and is doing nothing to try and keep customers. I'll probably stick with them because their plans are good, but get the handset outright from Apple.

I'm surprised how much trouble I'm having with this: It shouldn't be this hard just to get a phone from your carrier.

Also my HTC Hero seems to be on the way out big time: Getting 8 hours battery a day among other hardcore problems :|
