Since no one has posted this, I would advise anyone who plays Modern Warfare 2 to read the first post in the two links below and arm yourself with knowledge to stay protected against stat hackers and modders.

tl;dr

First link contains a mod cleaner that will remove unwanted mods that alter game files and make things unplayable.

Second link contains a tool that allows you to create back ups of your stats. I can vouch for the Backup Tool. I use this myself every time I exit the game to ensure that I can reverse any alterations to my stats in the event that I join a hacked server.

Well, this tool sure is a lifesaver incase I will ever run into a modded server. Thanks for the tool. The second tool however, can not be downloaded sine Filefront apparently does not provide the file.
