Super Robot Wars is a long running Japanese turn-based strategy game series featuring popular Mecha robots from Anime shows.

The thing is, most of them are never coming to America/Europe. This is mostly due to the lot of text and Licensing issues with some of the more popular series.

I am trying to fix that with a fan made Super robot wars of my own. Yet First I want to see if there is going to be people to cheer me on as I make it.
Since it is mine, I can add things that would normaly not be in one, like Star trek, BSG(both if I can watch), Stargate, Doctor Who, Halo, Command and Conquer, Ace Combat and other things I like.

I am currently working on a one lever teaser to see if it can work, and if people would like it. so as of this post I only have 40% done and no pictures.

Is anyone interested?

I'm partly interested, although I'd be more interested if the mecha were from actual mecha. I'd need a list to decide further.

If you mean the giant spider thing in europe, then not really.

I dont know if the current story I have will have that, yet I am reading about other multiplayer options.

To the OP, what game engine / whatever are you planning on using to make this?

Is it Sim RPG Maker 95? Because that thing is reeeeeeeeally limited...

Well It is currently a toss up between SRPG 95 for the concept and RPG Maker XP. I did fing a script to give it a SRPG battle system, yet as of not, I currently and open to alternates in this stage.

Should I post a bit about the teaser/Proof of concept Level? Though It will have nothing to do with the full game-_-

Interesting. I'll still work on spriting for the time being.
I have the Glasgow's attacks started, and the Mammoth almost done.

You probably *could* use SRPG maker, but from my own memory it's rather limited. Not terrible, but not great either. You'd have to have attacks as magic spells and have them use MP or something similar.

Well they do call MP 'EN' in SRW games.

Yeah, but you wouldn't be able to do ammo based attacks or Spirit powers.

The Full game will be in three parts (Seasons to keep with the theme)

The Teaser(Season Zero?) Will be proof of concept, and proof of Support.

Season One will have a large world war involving the steps to space.(Mostly Earth maps)
Series included-Gundam(MSG,MS08th,Zeta) Code Geass,Ace Combat Zero, Evangelion, Getter Robo

Season Two will have humanities reach to the heavens challenge.(Mostly Space)
Series Included-Gundam(OO,Wing) Macross DYRL, Megas XLR, C&C(TS,Paradox),Zipang, Mazenger Z

Season three will have the whole of Creation on the line for the Final.(Mostly Deep Space)
Series Included-Xenosaga, Gunbuster/Diebuster, Doctor Who,Macross(7,F) Gurren Lagann, Lord of Elementals

There will be more series than listed here, and series will carry over, and there will be originals.
