Nope, haven't encountered the new maps yet.

Regardless, I don't care for now, as I'm trying to get used to artying in my S-51.

I was on Komarin. It went pretty well for me and i like how half should go to defend and half to attack on that map. Since you start far away from your flag.

Haven't been on any of the new maps yet partially because the 5 games I was in today took place in Lagland, in the great basin Slownia, just south of the city of Sluggish.

I was also on Komarin. There's swamp near the river and it has dirt mounds near each side's respective flag.

The one game I had on the new map, apparently the other team had no clue of what to do, as well as a few members of my team. Fortunately my eagerness to explore the map paid off as going left kept me alive. So far I like the map and I'm hoping to have a game on the other ne map that was introduced.

You're given 2 tier 1 tanks at the start, and it really depends on which tech tree you'd like to go down. The Leichttraktor is better than the MS-1, but if you want to go down the Russian line, the MS-1 is what you're stuck with. Either way, get out of tier 1 as soon as you can and move on to tier 2. At that tier you can pick between a tank destroyer, artillery, or two kinds of light tanks.

Ha! The only tanks you can start with you already get by default for free.

You have3 no choice, you have to work up the tree to get anything good.

One other tip I should make you aware of is to convert your gold to credits for the first few days. After that, I highly recommend saving up for a premium account. One month is the best option (2500 gold) because if you save your gold, you'll have more than enough by the time the 30 days runs out.

Holy balls, I just had a game with my S-51 moon cannon and we lost, and I got 606 exp and 35398 credits, and the repair bill was only 15800. S-51 makes me mundo el grande cash. I'll be IS-3 in now time~! :P

Ha, the suicide express. suicide rams does a shitton of damage. Leopard suicide runs are pretty damn impressive at times.

The "heavy" AMX tanks weren't that horrible, though the ones with smaller cannons could only compare to other nation's mediums.

With the French tech tree complete, I wonder what the Japanese tree will look like.

Nice, but I've got nearly no experience with French tanks in other games, so I'll probably go with US, then Japs, and then the Brits, and finally the French.

The game R.U.S.E. has French tanks, and the AMX series of tanks, at least the heavier variants that is, were "experimental", meaning they were either very late to the war, or never left the drawing table.

Also, if memory serves me right, French tanks were lightly armed and armoured, like the Japanese tanks. The Renault FT barely deserves to be called a "tank", being that it's a WWI warm-over and first mounted a machine gun in the turret.

I concur. When Germany invaded France, they where lucky that they had the advantage of speed, and that the French command was too slow and too protective of their own tanks. The Renault tanks where superior in armaments and armor to the German Panzers (especially the ones deployed back then). The only problem was that they where so damn slow, and they where commanded poorly.

Interesting read. Probabaly the two most notable things on the list: US tanks inbound, two new maps and the release date should be the first half of November which means a whole week to play during Thanksgiving - or should I say, Tanksgiving

YEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH~!

I'm rather happy for the 1st battle a day double xp and credits, because I only get to play once or twice per day anyhow. (way too much work to do...)

Now, if they did that for 1st battle of the day for each individual tank, that would make me very happy, exactly four times as happy. :P

I've got a feeling that this update might be delayed a day or two, seeing that the dev team seems to have a mild case of "VALVe time".

At any rate, I'm really looking forward to this up and coming update. Numero Uno is US TANKS! I know it is nowhere near the best tank in the game, but I am going to get my hands on a Sherman, namely the M4A3E8 or "Easy 8" (best Sherman stats wise). Another item that I am looking forward to is the model fix for the King Tiger's tracks. Honestly, right now it's going around in game on its transport tracks, and while that doesn't effect its performance, it does look rather odd.

One item that I am not looking forward to is the increased repair cost of the IS tank. It's fine how it is now, why the need to increase it? Hopefully there's a chance for the increase to be done away with come the next update.

I'm Gonna love that there wont be no wraping anymore. But that also means that the heavy tanks are going to destroy "more" medium tanks than before. Thats how it is in Russian version.

Good thing I drive a heavy tank then. :P It will be nice once the warping is gone. Can't tell you how many shells I've wasted trying to hit a tank while it's on the move and only 300 meters away.

My IS's 120 mm cannon isn't really acurate enough to hit far-off tanks anyhow, I really don't think the non-warp will effect me much at all.

However, they're increasing the repair price of both the IS and the S-51, both of which are my main cash-cows, which is mildly annoying.
