I find it funny that they showed Soviet tanks in that video and they still claim there's no russian bias. derp

But yeah, basically the US and German tanks in the video were just extras

Oh noes... Don't spoil it, I haven't watched yet!.
But seriously, it'd be natural for there to be russian bias. Nothing wrong with that. And anyway, it seems to be a hit here in Singapore, a lot of people I know have started playing.

linky
Looks like launch is April 12th, still no info about when pre-orders are. (though there's a leaked copy of the available pre-order packs floating around somewhere)
I also here that all beta testers are gonna get a bonus tank. The Ruskies are all getting the KV-220, no word on Europe, but Overlord said that he'd try to find something better than the KV-220 for the US but I think that's unlikely.
Regardless, I'll definitely pre-order when the time comes, probably settling with the Medium tank pack, which comes with a German medium tank. The Heavy premium pre-order tank is in the Link above which just looks like an M6 or T1-Heavy with a bigger turret. The small premium pre-order tank is the BT-SV which is similar to the A-20, BT-7 & BT-2 tanks. All of the premium tanks comes in an extra slot btw, which is nice. Might buy the light tank pack as well since it's the cheapest one (also, they stack, so I can get 2 prem tanks and 2 slots). At that point I'll prolly have enough gold to get my beloved KV-5.
Still don't have time to play WoT though... bleh, no point before launch anyhow.

That launch date is incredibly stupid. The game is still broken, so the fact that they're launching the game knowing full well that there are game-breaking issues present, I'm not going to touch the game. Oh boy, the betas are getting a special "bonus". Whatever could it be? How about a game that actually works?
If I didn't care about such issues, I'd probably go heavy and medium, though to be honest, the M6A2E1 is a rather ridiculous tier 8 heavy. The only reasons it's tier 8 is because of its frontal armour and 105mm gun. Tier 3 tanks can penetrate the sides and rear of it. I'll take the Lowe please.

I don't think the Lowe is part of the premium pre-order bonuses, I think it's just a regular premium tank.
Still, I want KV-5 because of how hilarious it looks. I will probably regret getting it greatly, but that's a problem for future me~!

I know it's not a pre-order premium, but as far as premiums go, I'll take the Lowe over the M6A2E1 ANY day of the week.

I agree, Löwe is really a tank which would be much better than M6A2E1, it is badass!
I want to have E-10 and E-25, with them the game should be really a fun
E-25 has 88mm gun, while large as JgPz, and probably as good, maybe more
And E-10... great!

Just fired up WoT for the first time in weeks. Good news: the game is still fun. Great news: I had 8000 gold sitting around and no xp to convert. Fucking fantastic news: I bought a Hotchkiss 38h (German tier 2 premium tank) and it rocks the world, 5 kills, 6k creds and 1500 xp first round; pretty amazing for a gold tank.

The captured Hotchkiss has thick armour for its tier, so Panzerjagers and AT-1's will find it difficult to penetrate above 200m. It also sports a fairly decent gun for its tier as well. Kind of makes you wonder what the French tanks will be like when they roll out.
Haven't played WoT in a few days, but I finally have a Jadgpanther.
Gun choice isn't that great to start, as the PaK 40 7,5cm is actually a better gun than the L/56 8,8cm. It's a little over 16k exp to reach the PaK 43 L/71 8,8cm (which is the gun the Jadgpanther was given from the factory in WWII), which I believe is a little ridiculous. It turns fairly quick on stock tracks, but it doesn't feel as nimble as the Jadgpanzer IV. Then again, the Jadgpanther is quite a bit faster than the Jadgpanzer IV, as well as the StuG III. Going to have to save up around 30k exp for tracks and gun. :S

Jagdpanther is excellent when you little upgrade him, he is probably not so agile like JgPz4, but still it can still be a great hunter, following enemy tanks and firing on their back

I read a thread on the WoT forums that reassured me that the Jadgpanther is worth the grind, not only to get to it, but also to upgrade it. The PaK 43 L/71 8,8cm is the first recommended upgrade, and rightly so, because it affords much better damage than the PaK 40 L/70 7,5mm (220 vs. 135), and is very accurate. As far as German tank destroyers go, the Jadgpanther is the last "maneuverable" one, and it is fairly quick. Beta testers that have the Jadgpanther say it's like a medium tank without a turret, and even though I don't have the upgraded tracks yet, I can agree.I don't plan to go any higher than the Jadgpanther, and that suits me just fine, because the Ferdinand and the Jadgtiger are expensive to maintain. I do aim to get it elite, but I'm happy with the Jadgpanther.

Overlord said that French tanks will generally be big iron nuggets for the early tiers (pre-war and early WWII tanks), and will become either a giant steel block with galactic cannons, or faster smaller glass cannons. No word on arty or TDs, but there's not too much to expect from that.
Also, the JP is epic. initial gun is kinda meh for a TD, but later on it becomes very nice. It's stealth value is fairly high, it's low profile, got nice slopes, and still fairly mobile; It's one of the better TDs in the game for sure.

The Jadgpanzer IV has a high stealth value, but from the Jadgpanther and up, German TD's actually have a negative camo coefficient, meaning that a camo net does nothing for them. Its also fairly tall, well, compared to the Jadgpanzer IV, its a house. However, the Jadgpanther does have the ability to mount the 105mm, which makes the Jadgpanther a very vicious tank destroyer. I like the Jadgpanther a lot, but how mine is currently equipped, I can't say that I adore everything about it. I'm sure that once I get the tracks upgraded and mount the PaK 43, it will become a different beast. Until then, I can only imagine about such things.

Blue when moving, red when stationary, green with camo net installed.

The Jagdpanther fully upgraded is an awesome tank. One of my favourite tanks
The 105mm will rip pretty nice holes into enemy tanks
The last German TD's are as visible hiding as the Soviet TD's are while moving at full speed... So yes it's fucked up but apparently they aren't gonna fix it... Though it's not THAT big of a deal since the Ferdi and JT have nice armor. The 128mm will punch through most tanks (one-shotting shermans,KV's,IS...) Haven't gotten the best gun for the JT as it's a huuuge pain in the ass to grind. Otherwise my JT is fully upgraded and I have to say it's a decent tank, maybe abit slow though

JT is so far the best TD in my opinion. While it is slower, it has great armour and gun. Ferdi is the weak point with good armour ad quite decent gun, but overall nothing much. This is just my theoretical opinion, because I have now only JP, but about JP I can tell a lot, because I have it now and had it before wipe. In both times it was great tank hunter

JT's problem is the slowness and the size of it. You are a huge target that can't get away from incoming fire. Yes they have nice armor and good guns, but once you get tracked you are screwed.

Believe me, not everyone wants to stand in front of you when you have 128mm gun

Wanderer

It has nothing to do with standing in front of it
Thanks to the camo-values you get shot by tanks you can't see. I've been tracked by tanks I can't see and then just pounded to death by more invisible tanks... or the other popular tactic is T-54 rushing....

I simply do not fear a Jadgtiger like I do the Obyekt 704. As thick as the Jadgtiger's armour can be, the sides and rear are pretty squishy. I treat it like the Ferdinand: track, then swing round to the sides and rear. This tactic doesn't work all if the time, but it does work, and can make for some rather hilarious conversation from the Jadgtiger drivers.

Whenever I see a ferdi and it's faced some other direction and it doesn't look like there's other enemies around, I just go ahead and ram the side and keep shooting till it's dead. Somewhat situational but it works like a charm. (though there's a lot of micro involved)
