Who's forcing you to read my comments? Dont need your attitude in here mister. I am discussing about how I hoped about the revival of the BF series and how I am angry at DICE for making it even worse for transforming the actual series into a shitty CoD clone (especially after reading about the possibility of a killcam feature)

I'd be fine with it, as long as conquest stays and a throwing knife won't kill if you hit the foot...

You don't kill COD by trying to be COD. You kill COD by making a better shooter.

I don't understand why people think that one series would exclude the other. The series are so fundamentally different that you can't say that one will kill the other. For example, no matter how "good" BF will be, I'll probably never really enjoy it, while no matter how good CoD will be, a few people from this thread will never enjoy that.

It's a shame that this isn't an actual quote from DICE itself, but I am pleased to see things are being done the right way around for a friggin change. Liking the look of this. Whilst I was not sold on BC2, this does look far better.

^True, but it is a modern warfare shooter :/
Shame theyre still insisting on using the unfitting and garish glowing blue interface theyve been overusing for BC2 and MoH. At least change it up slightly.

I blame the dozens of shitty FPS games released after the BF/COD series.

The more news I read about it the more disappointed I am.

Prone "as a feature"
DLC Spamfest once again (and we all know what that means for games)
Killcam
No Commander
Keeping the retarded BC2 squad spawn

Concluded that I dont give a shit anymore. Shiny graphics isnt something worth my money (nor anyones for that matter but I am not to judge that)

What? The Squad Respawn system wasn't retarded, it's a good way of saying "Hey, spawn next to your squad and pew pew enemies togheter", not to mention that if you die behind enemy lines, but a squadmate survies, you don't have to make that annoying 20Km walk under enemy fire back to him, you could just spawn on him.

The same applies if you are being spawn camped, one of your teammates gets out, the rest of his squad spawn on him and destroy the M-COMS/Cap flags and gives the rest of the team a different spawn point. If anything, I'd say that this is one of the things BC2 did right.

Liten's correct for me, it's not like Black Ops's spawn where you spawn in the area with the least threat (tested this on Nuketown myself)...yet someone just pops out of the corner and BRRBRBRBRBRB and you die. BC2's 'base/squad' spawn system is better.

I think he is comparing it to the BF2 System, which only lets you spawn off the squad commander.

Tbh the BC2 system has it's pros and cons. It makes Medics a lot less useful as instead of "I need reviving!", it's "I will just respawn in a few seconds". It also means you are more likely to be fighting someone and to have another guy pop in front of him killing you. The advantages are that it keeps the pace of the game up and stops really bad squad leaders from ruining that whole squad.

It's hard to say which system is better, personal preference i guess.

No commander's not even confirmed yet, and there's been similarly little information on the squad system. I'd wait for the game's full reveal before I consider my choices.

Well, it isn't confirmed 100% but it's very likely that there won't be a commander. In the Interview Article the guy from Dice basically talks about how he doesn't like the commander system because it's to difficult to understand for noobs. This article kinda destroyed my hopes that this game will be more than a dumbed down casual game.

What's so complex about the commander system?

You follow orders, you get more points, you win.
If the commander sucks, vote for a new one.
If you don't wan't to be commander, you don't have to.
If you don't wan't to follow orders, you don't have to.

That's the simplest and most effective way to enforce team-play and tactics. And one of the main reasons to play Battlefield instead of CoD.

Having a good commander on your team made the round a hell of a lot more fun, plus I would commander every so often if got tired during my all-nighters on BF2 D8

Looks more like a commercial to me rather than a teaser (or trailer as it was originally labeled)

Also wtf is with every single weapon missing the rear sights?

Good to see how they're finally taking a page out of Mirror's Edge and actually showing your character's arms and legs.
